It's up to you. I think most people post their pictures in flickr. From what I have heard some people just get errors uploading to the swap gallery. I have only done it once and it worked fine, but that was a long long time ago.

Personally I just take photos of what I send out [when I remember] but there are some people who take photos of what they have received.

I do both-- I try to take pics of most of the stuff I send so that if is does not arrive, I can try to resend something close to what was lost.

I also take pics of some of the best and biggest packages I recieve so that I can share a public thank-you with the sender.

But I don't use the swap gallery... I use my flickr account. Uploading to the gallery is totally optional, and is not required, unless you just want to.

Ok, I guess I'll register in Flickr. I haven't really taken a good look at that site. Although I've been in so many sites lately I don't remember if I looked there......I'm not sure I have the time/patience to deal with another new project right now. I just didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings if I was supposed to show their work somewhere. Still learning the system. Thanks for your help.

It would be good if at some point we could have a better gallery system here. I'd like to be able to put in a URL for pics uploaded elsewhere instead of uploading the pictures themselves here, but I'd want them displayed here so we would just page through the gallery without having to follow links off-site. R&T have their hands full with more important developments, though.

The gallery here is so bad -- I think it's a low, low priority on the list of everything under development. And half the time when I try to upload pics they show up weird.

Flickr is pretty easy to learn, and free (unless you want to post a ton of pictures.) I'd really recommend it because you will save time, I am sure.
