Cheryl, are your grandkids by your own or your stepkids?

My kids don't have any friends at all (except each other). Now that's worse I guess... Only children whom we have had have been children of my friends and together with their parents.

CherylLaVon 10/4/2008

My grandkids are those of my stepkids. My son Stephen committed suicide at 18 and my daughter Kathryn who is going to be 19 in November says that my youngest two boys are her 'anti-sex', her 'birth control reminders'. LOL They can't help it really, they're both autistic but they do drive her wild. They used to drive me pretty wild too until I met this child that's here playing with my youngest son. It's all I can do to not touch the duct tape.

Frankie and Andy have very few friends. They are in fact each other's best friend. Their autism keeps them both from relating to other people and so since they've spent the night at this kid's house before, I thought it was only fair to have David here. OH MAH GOSH Was that ever the stupidest Idea I've EVER had!

CherylLaVon 10/4/2008

Nessa... I swear I think that's why God didn't 'bless' *choke cough * me with this child. Somewhere I was told he never gives us more than we can handle and Oh Sweet Goodness I would have harmed this child if he were mine!

pahasiga 10/4/2008

Oh, they say that in general - that the best birth control for teenagers is having a young sibling. Especially, I guess, if he/she has to baby-sit now and then... :P

Hm, don't you have your daughter at home right now, you could put her to baby-sit...

CherylLaVon 10/4/2008

LOL I had Children and Youth Services called on me when I let her baby-sit them once. She let them play on the train tracks! TRUE STORY! She didn't KNOW that they were playing on the train tracks (I don't THINK), she just wasn't watching them close enough but oh my gosh it got me into deep doo doo for awhile. We still tease her about it.

pahasiga 10/4/2008

So? Isn't it what you hope for, maybe she will baby-sit this child in forest (and is not too near).

At least I'm sure that now she won't let anyone on train tracks.

vanessalouise 10/4/2008

my 15 year old daughter wouldn't baby sit my 3 and 4 year old for all the money in the world, but still wants one of her own says it's different when there your own children

CherylLaVon 10/4/2008

LOL She's living in Iowa now 13 hours away from me in Pennsylvania. Thank goodness too because if she saw this child and had to deal with him for even 15 minutes, I might NEVER have grandchildren by her LOL!

Different when they're your own? Nuh uh, then you're just stuck with em when they're bad LOL!

i need to go paint a second coat on the shutters for the dollhouse i am putting together. i'm nervous about using the glue gun. i have to go write a letter for a swap--about my life--my life is BORING. i am going to go get a pepsi.

What a glorious fall day....too bad I'll be inside for most of it , I have the open studio again this afternoon. Last nights turn out was pretty good, but no buyers....just a bunch of people looking...and drinking. I hope todays crowd is more serious.

aime 10/11/2008

i still haven't painted that second coat on the shutters to the dollhouse.....tomorrow is my son's 15th birthday.....Tuesday is my birthday (i feel soooo old).....i dislike the smell of ladybugs when you squish them.....

eyeskater 10/11/2008

ants don't like cinnamon..

pahasiga 10/14/2008

Why would someone squish ladybugs??

aime 10/14/2008

if something lands on me, i hit it and squish it before i even think about it. the warm days and cold nights are bringing the ladybugs 2-fold, they are all over the place.

finally finished the shutters for the dollhouse. i only have the trim and shingles to do on it.

dreamerkins 10/14/2008

my sil has (ladybugs) in her house... swarms. they're everywhere. actually, they aren't really ladybugs though. they look very much like them, but are a different kind of beetle. ok, i'm wrong. they're asian ladybugs. dang things are everywhere. there were probably 50 of them around the ceiling lamp the other night when i went to bed. those i have no problem squishing. they're a nuisance. seriously. i wish the people who keep thinking introducing a non-native species into a new habitat would get a clue. don't get me wrong, i like the native ladybugs, but these things don't belong, and are taking over because of it. incidentally, in my sil's house, they haven't left in the spring.
