... you go to the Post Office and the clerk greets you by saying, "Oh, I was just thinking about you. We got some new stamps in and I knew you'd like them!"

Krazyquilts 07/24/2008

That is too funny! I've gotten to know the post office guys quite well myself. I even swap tea with one of them!

dulcimer 07/24/2008

I've cut back on my swapping quite a bit and when I ran into the clerk at another store she said she thought I was sick cuz she hadn't seen me for a while.

Hazelette 07/24/2008

Well, I live in a small town, and there's only this 1 clerk ever at the window. She knows I swap because I was sending post-cards to three different contries one day, so I explained what we do. I'm sure she takes notice each time I come in with a handful of packages now!

shopandbid 07/24/2008

Several of the clerks in my p.o. always ask me what I'm sending this time.

One of the clerks also sorts the box mail he always teases with me, the other day he said he was going to start holding my mail for ransom.

salfra 07/24/2008

My clerks don't even have to ask me the standand questions anymore as I know them by heart and give them the speech first. They also know I've done my homework and I know what can go where and the cheapest way to do it so I get very few hassles anymore - which is quite nice:)

jannikinz 07/24/2008

............when you go to the Post Office, and the counter clerk says to you "What, only four (or other small number) today?". Like it's 8 - 10 per fortnight most times.

brokenfaedoll 07/24/2008

LOL! I usually get; "So you want to send these the usual way?"

alleycat 07/25/2008

They all know me by now too....and I've developed a relationship with my mail carrier, which is really nice because she doesn't mix it up and put it in the wrong box nearly as much as she used to.

Lucky12324 07/25/2008

.....when other swappers get worried about you because you haven't signed onto Swap-bot in the last 2 days.

brokenfaedoll 07/25/2008

It's nice to know you were missed though, isn't it? :)

Chanel 07/25/2008

.....when your kids are shopping with you and as you add things to the buggy they ask "is that for us or a swap partner?"

brokenfaedoll 07/25/2008

LMAO!!! Now that is funny!

Also... when your family members or friends in real-life say, is that a package from so-and-so and they refer to the swapper by their username! LOL!

Muriel 07/25/2008

when you get to go thre the postalsack yourself in search of your sb package.

CajunLady 07/25/2008

...when your 5 yr old daughter sees you wrapping a package up and asks you "who are you sending that to and where does she live?"! or if she sees you making something and asks "is that for someone else?" and I know she's meaning am I sending it to someone else!!

shopandbid 07/25/2008

cute

alifromourpatch 07/25/2008

...when I look at a couple of unused straws & think "I can somehow use them for something craftwise",lol!!

Josietai 08/12/2008

Oh...swapbot has invaded our life alright! I'm now constantly collecting brochures/leaflets, paper scraps, food wrappers and such from shops to restaurants. I get stares now and then...thinking I'm collecting rubbish. Oh, there are treasures to me!

I also get the same reaction from my bf - are these for your swap partners? Note the plural! Can I eat those (candies & snacks)? I felt bad at times and let him have it.

I'm always thinking what and who to get while shopping. I even printed out my partner's profile for easy references. I hope I'm not the only one going overborad by doing this.

Well, I'm ok with post officers because I go to many. I've got 6 post offices to pick from based on the day and time I'm in. I have very nasty officers who dont allow decorated envies for registration mails. Beats me.....No food like candies and teas, no glass items. So, I dont usually declare food & breakable items in my custom forms. You just learn...

So, how can we live without swapbot?? Beats me...lol

MoonMagick 08/12/2008

When your roommate getting you storage bins for your birthday so you can clean up Your Swap Area....

OrigamiGrace 08/12/2008

when you yell at your husband for eating the pocky you bought to send to someone:)

szreader 08/12/2008

When you tell your (23-year-old) daughter that you HAVE to have that Barbie cereal box when it's empty because you need to make a postcard out of it! (and she knows you mean it!)

pahasiga 09/12/2008

When you go to a central PO (that is visited by lots of random people), to send your package, and you haven't sent anything for a month from there, and clerk at counter, seeing your package, says "what, you have taped it shut AGAIN??", you know that you are probably the only person who sends packages in milk cartons. :}

SEMOkraftee 09/12/2008

LOL All of the above are so funny and so true. I can identify with most all of them. My PO people are so nice. The postmaster usually greets me with, "what have you got for us today?" I live in a very small town so it's always the postmaster or one other lady that greets me and "takes care of me".

OrigamiGrace 09/12/2008

When you find yourself buying cute Fat Quarters but only to swap because you can't sew, lol!!

choke 09/12/2008

lmao @ all of you! Thanks for reaffirming that I am completely addicted!
