For the record I'm aware Obama and his wife have two young daughters. Someone who has been in the military or a family member in the military has a different prospective. That's all I meant. Personally I was hoping the party would go with Hillary as I'm a registered Democrat. I'm unsure who I will vote for. At one point I didn't think I would be voting this year as I really don't care for either candidates. |

That's exactly why I'm afraid McCain is going to win this election. Has anybody else read or heard that McCain's doctors have said they "think he might make it through a presidential term."? As for me, I've been a supporter of women's rights since I was a girl (I'm 57 now), and I don't want McCain's running mate running our country. I really don't want to be lead by a woman who tried out for the seahawks cheerleaders. I don't want to be lead by a woman who thinks we should be sucking even more oil out of our planet instead or working toward other self-sustaining fuel sources. She may be the same gender as me, but that's about where the similarity ends. I was a backer of Hillary Clinton too. But when Obama won the nomination, I jumped onto his bandwagon big time. I think it's terrible how many people there are in this country right now who are without any kind of health insurance; and how many people who are homeless or are having to work 2 jobs each in order to make ends meet. Yes, the economic top tier of the population has done okay financially during the Bush years. But they've been devestating to a lot of people who aren't fortunate enough to be in that top tier. |

Yooper~ you absolutely do. I love discussing issues with others whether we agree or disagree, because I know we all learn a little. Especially, tolerance.
