I'm throwing together a care package for my significant other who lives across the country for the next month or two. Right now, I have a mix cd, and I'm thinking about finding a good "sendable" cookie recipe that I can make as well.

But I need more ideas!
He's an early 20's dude and likes the outdoors and surfing and music-he's a fairly simple guy.

I know a lot of you are mail pros and I'm sure have done this a thousand times already so any suggestions would be really great!!
Thanks in advance!

Favorite candy bar, snack foods, stuffed animal, surfing or outdoors magazines, self-addressed stamped envelope to you so all he has to do is write a short note (include a card or one sheet of paper in each envie) and pop it in the mail to you, puzzles, games, deck of cards, pictures of your home/hometown and you of course!, aftershave, a fun toothbrush, hot chocolate mix, flavored coffee, hot cider mix, a special mug to drink it in, mini marshmallows or other mix-ins, hard candy, drink mixes, a letter or note from your pet/s, family members, friends, a list of things to do when he returns home (fun things not chores), anything that will remind him of you or a private joke you share, fun band-aids, travel size asprin, etc., sewing kit, supplies for a new hobby he has been wanting to try. Hope this helps:)

Pics of family and friends... or even fav places to remind him of home. Fav foods, goodies if possible. Lots of mail, cards, postcards, newspaper clippings from home... I was away for a month once, and I loved getting mail. email and phone calls are cool... but there's something extra nice when you get a card or a letter. I wish I had taken more pics with me, because I got lonely for home about mid-way through.

Don't forget to check out the USPS priority flat rate boxes to potentially save you some cash on postage! Then you can cram it full of regional snacks and goodies and be confident it will arrive fresh. :)

Sex wax! Um, used for surfing, of course...it's a brand, but the innuendo is pretty blatant. Maybe some upgraded earplugs if he's an iPod kind of guy. A romantic letter spritzed with your perfume. Some good, all-natural soap so he'll be thinking of you as he rubs himself down * wink * A silly t-shirt (like from Woot shirts or T-Shirt Hell). Some lip balm so he can keep his lips in good shape since you'll be kissing him hard when you see him again. A pillowcase embellished with something that would be special to him (Like Goodnight Poopsie" or whatever you call him embroidered). Some gift cards for or certificates for places in the town he's in. A list of things he can do to keep himself occupied while he's there (Google some historical sites or "things to do in..." where he is). A book of short stories or trivia.

Hope that helps! I'm sure he'll love whatever you send.

Send a pic with the two of you together and a nice romantic note reminding him of how much you love him. Keep yourself near to his heart.

I used to send tons of homemade treats in the mail & found that brownies or blondies hold up the best - less breakable & stay moist & they don't have to be plain & boring. I have a few recipes, PM me if you want copies of them!
