I think if they remove their address they become partially suspended. I may be wrong. But yes they can suspend themselves as well as delete their account. |

It does sound strange. Maybe she decided to quit but hopefully sent out your swap before she did. I hope you do receive your swap. |

I'm not sure they can ask to be partially suspended, but they can certainly ask to be deleted, and if they do so while they are still in open swaps, they will only be partially suspended. She could also have been suspended for reasons other than ratings, such as having multiple accounts or being underage. |

Do you mind if I ask what the swap was, mydnite? Or at least what kind of swap it was? Was it handmade, higher value, etc? |

it was a random items box. 50 things in a box which was changed to a list of your 50 favorite things and 20 represented in the box- some of the things in my box were lotion, fluffy white socks, a mystery novel, a picture of my dogs, chocolate, teas, cocoas, mini cookbook, recipes, holiday cards, lipbalm, etc. she loved it. but then I went crazy because her birthday was coming up so I put a b-day gift inside too. it could have been represented smaller things or articles or poems or crafts - random. But I'm going to get past this, I'm not going to let her ruin swapping for me. One bad egg doesn't make the dozen bad! Thanks for listening and explaining the ins and outs! |

Well seeing that she has no profile and assuming she had one before (I am assuming she did if one of the requirements in the swap is having 50 things listed) I would say she had herself suspended. She probably deleted her address as well as her profile. It doesn't look promising, sorry mydnite. Its a shame. I'm still hoping you receive your swap. Its a big swap and I would be disappointed too. This is one of the reasons I stay away from big swaps like this unless I can fully trust the host and its in a group where I fully trust the members. Even then there are no guarantees. I was flaked on for a Christmas swap that was among 'friends' so your never really safe. It certainly stings. |

Take comfort in knowing you made your partner happy. Thats what I did. I atleast made my partner happy. Plus my partner was one of my favorite swappers here and that made it even better. :o) |

I see that she only did postcard & recipe swaps prior to hosting this swap, which could have the potential to be high value. I never really thought to look at that before signing up for a swap, but now I'll be more aware. So sorry that this happened to you! Someone had mentioned before in another forum, a possiblity of not counting postcard/recipe swaps toward the minimum required for hosting. I think this scenario makes a perfect case to at least take a look at the present hosting requirements. |

you're right! good point- I never thought to look at that. I guess I should spend more time reading here in the forum before diving into more expensive swaps. Thanks! |

I'm in a situation where the host is my partner. She should have sent me a box 2 weeks ago and according to this site she did. Also according to this site she is also partially suspended with ALL 5s ! NO 3s, No 1s(til today, but then I noticed the suspension). The last time she logged in was the day she "mailed" my package. Should I be worried? Is she ok? Or did she flake? I pm'd her but of course she won't get it until she signs back on whenever that may be... I hope she's ok, because all faith is gone if the host flakes on me...I hope it's an error. But this the second un-fulfilled swap out of 16. I guess what I am asking is can a member ask to be partially suspended 'on purpose"?
