Opps, it might be a RR. I was thinking she meant each would do their own then swap them. It is a fantastic idea. It's better than prompts because you would be writing and responding to something that snagged you, but would still be different than regular journaling about your day. But, I can see where she might be thinking of RR for this. Time will tell!

no not a round robin, just we each have a journal and it is just a swap. a swap in which we each decorate and FILL a composition journal with our thoughts and magazine clippings, or comics, or newpaper articles and maybe if something strikes us as neat but we dont have a comment maybe have that certain thing speak for its self on the page. basically like a visual journal with a huge collage element to it.

how much written journalling would you expect in this... I mean if I have only one or two statements to make about the picture, (or whatever), would I have to write a whole page about it?

I think this would be a great idea. Don't they call these glue books or something like that?

glue books don't have the journalling element, I think, just the clippings with no added comments.

we are doing one of these here in Australia and its great to see how different every ones work is.I cant wait till I get mine back.

susi--it all depends on what you are thinking, i mean sometimes it may be more like a paragraph or if you see a goofy picture the whole entry could be one word like "hmmm" i mean its totally up to you..somedays if your mood is just right you would probably have alot to say

MoomMagick/spinjenny--yes, spinjenny the way i understand glue books, too, is just a bunch of random clippings--no comments or anything else.

hey everyone! so should i set up a public swap, just a general swap and make the participant qualifications pretty stiff--i mean nobody wants a flaker? what do you all think as far as a time frame? i mean it will take a couple months at least to FILL a journal/composition notebook.
