Does the U.S. have dollar stores. That's whatr we call them up here in Canada but that's where I usually find mine. The 250 count right?Anyway or maybe a place where you usually get camping supplies,Walmart is always a good bet.Anyway that's all I know. |

I'm a dope. I just assumed there were CRAFT matchboxes out there (I've seen them on supply sites for the U.K.!). The thought of buying just a regular box of matches never occured to me. I swear, I'm really not an idiot! |

Jen you don't sound like an idiot. I'd much rather buy a bunch of empty match boxes instead of buying one full box. |

Has anybody found something to do with the matches from the matchboxes? I hate waste so I keep them but there they sit in my drawer. |

@SMBee I had the same problem recently. I bought 24 matchboxes to make an advent tree and had around 750 matches I didn't need. I put them on Freecycle and eventually someone came and picked them up. Other than that, you'll have to start a new hobby building models out of matchsticks! |

Really someone on Freecycle wanted them. Maybe I'll try that. Thanks @missychrissy |

Where do you guys buy the 32ct. ones? I can't find them anywhere. =( I'm in the US. I went everywhere! I went to Wal-mart, gas stations, grocery stores, dollar stores, little stores and nothing. |

Churches (candles, candles everywhere) might appreciate them as well. Is it the catholics that have the bank of small votive candles for prayers? (not catholic, only seen these on tv.) boy scout groups may take the matches (without boxes) off your hands. one of the things the boy scouts do is make small "survival kits" which include matches. They do this for winter camping especially. I've got a match stiker bar and a fold of duct tape from one of these kits in my toolbox. Since step-dad has been a scout leader for like 30+ years, I've gotten all sorts of weird odd-ends over the years. I'm probably one of the few people that bought themselves a fire extinguisher with a christmas gift card. :) If you can't find a local group to take them, you can send some to me. I use them in the kitchen (gas stove) and to light candles. I had frightening "playing with matches" scare as a child... and to this day, i don't like the flimsy paper matches. |

Krogers and Walmart have the matchboxes (small) for certain. Walmart has them in the check-out aisle at some stores. Also try camping/fishing and household goods (TP, napkins, trashbags, etc.) I think now that our Walmsrt is a supercenter, that the matches moved to household goods on the food side. Krogers will have them somewhere in that goofy aisle that has weird stuff (for a grocery store) like lightbulbs and shoelaces. |

I have googled the heck out of it, but I can't find a supply source for the large (250 count) matchboxes in the U.S.. Can someone help me out?
