There was nothing stated in the Terms of Service about organization when I signed up here... let's just say on a scale of 1-10 I'm -33. I don't use anything except what's provided by swapbot. I don't do many swaps, so it works for me... I have two computers and two seperate ISP's [one's wireless] so even a computer crash or connection problems should bring me down... [famous last words!] :P |

I also use excel spreadsheet to keep track on send & receive. Besides that I also have a notebook where I write in which swaps I have participated in, with the due dates in it and the addy's of my partners. Also there I write in when I have send/receive. Then I have way too much stuff .. I try to organize that .. but it only remain for a few days until it turn into complete chaos again! Because then I have send out some swaps and everything is a mess again :( lol .. |

I have a notebook with clear page protectors. I print out each swap description and then, when partners are assigned, I tape their address on the front and slide a printout of their profile into the page protector on the back side of the swap description. I have a Word document called "swaps & challenges" in which I type the name of the swap (or contest), a brief description of the requirements and the "mail by" or "due by" date - three columns. I keep a printout of this in the front of my notebook and one in my purse so I can see "at a glance" what I need to do whether I'm out shopping or looking through my book. It's easy to keep the list updated and print out a new one every so often. Caveat: This is just about the only area of my life in which I'm completely organized. :) |

@VJP is right! I do that also. What a life saver, but that is also a good idea @euphoria |

Euphoria, that's HARDCORE! I actually do this for work, I have a binder with a page for each vehicle (I manage a fleet of vehicles) and update as I visit each car, with a matching page in each car. Its a good system. I have a 5.5 x 8.5 inch binder that fits in my purse. Perhaps I should start one for SB... |

I print the swap page or the list from the wishlist and then I clip the pages together and hang them from a hook in my craft area. When I have more than 5 going I do the spreadsheet also, just so I know what order to work in. Otherwise it is too easy to work on the swap you are most excited about rather than the one whose deadline is coming up first. |

Swaps are the only area of my life I am organized in. I have a spreadsheet with a list of swaps and who I'm waiting for a rating/swap from. Once I've had both then I'll archive the swap. Other than that I have a home-made post tray which has a section for outgoing post, a section for swaps I've received that day to rate, and a section for envelopes. It's a bit sad but I enjoy being organized when it comes to swaps! |

I use an excel spreadsheet... I have columns for the swap, due date, swap requirements, who I'm sending to, when I sent it, when they've rated me, who I'm receiving from, what I received, when I rated them... then I archive it when everyone has rated... But I also keep a small notebook in my purse & make notes of swaps coming up just incase I'm out & about & see something that might be good for a certain swapper. If I stock up on anything I have a plastic container I keep stuff in... but I try to keep that small. The excel spreadsheet is what keeps me sane & happy! |

I just keep track of it all in my Dashboard. But that may be easy for me since I don't have that many. |

I am SO not organized. Like halfwaythere said, I don't remember seeing that in the Terms of Service. lolz But I am seeing lots of wonderful ideas here. Hmmm, I'm feeling the need to go organize all of my swap stuff... |

I'm organized...in my own weird way. I have a swap drying over there and another one waiting for it's box to be taped up over there, and some ATC's needing to be embellished over there in that corner and a pile of postcards under this pile of felt for my stuffie. There's some envelopes on top of an almost ready to go envelope in the other corner. I mean, I know where it all is, and if I get lost, it's all written down in my notebook as well as in my excel spreadsheets :D |

Uh...I'm supposed to be ORGANIZED? When did this happen? |

I kinda wing it as well. So much for all that stuff they say about Virgos...I have been trading stuff for years--coupons, baby items, etc...and have never had any sort of organization to it. Things have always worked out, though! |

I keep all my swap info on a spreadsheet, as well as wishlist info and penpal info. It's all rather detailed but I like being on top of things like that and being neat and tidy, it's the accountant in me lol! But that's only on the computer, everything else is just 'organised mess'. I told my other half off the other day for rooting through one of the drawers, he said that it made no difference as it was a mess anyway, I told him it was a organised mess! And it's true it may be a giant tangle of stuff but I know where everything is in there!!! |

Would any of you spreadsheet users be willing to share your form? I sure could use a little organization myself! |

Thanks @GeorgeBee - that's very nice of you!!! |
In relation to swaps, that is. I've always bought little things on sale and keep a basket of lil treasures on my craft shelf. Since starting to swap, I got some envelopes, put like things together and get them ready to just put an address on and pop in the mail. This is working really well for tags. I have post-its with addresses and likes for my swaps hanging from my bulletin board (I don't do a ton of swaps - this is mainly for the Afghan Squares swaps). And yet another list of names and wishes I can grant for the wishlist groups/forum threads stuck to my computer. I just recently bought a cheapy address book to keep addresses of the folks I have sent to more than once, and if they follow through.
Whats your organization system?? I'm curious and always looking for organization ideas. :)
