I have a question about bottle caps. I have seen several bottle caps on altered art & they have flattened edges. The ones I have bought for scrapbooking have the raised edges. Does anyone know the best way to flatten the edges? My thought is a hammer-but I don't know if that will ruin the bottle cap itself?

Thanks in advance for any help on this!!

I saw somewhere that you can also use a tortilla press to flatten bottlecaps. Seems that would be a cheaper alternative for those of us who don't have a sizzix.

We have lots of info on bottle caps and flattening with a tortilla press etc, over in the alterd bottle caps group. Here is a link to the altered bottle caps group.

Also, I have about 1200 flattened silver bottle caps if anyone would like to trade. Just pm me.
