If the swap doesnt fulfill the requirements, strictly speaking she could rate you a three if you posted it late but if the postage stamp says it was in time, ask to see the postage stamp I think its bad form to rate for late posting, I never do myself because life happens, post gets delayed and I post pretty close to the posting date myself. Could you politely PM her and say you posted it on the postal day and could they please reconsider rerating you? |

This is the reason I mail my packages at the post office. I always get a receipt with the date it was sent. If it is a larger package, I usually get the zip code where it is going to printed on the reciept as well so that there is no doubt when something went into the mail. |

It seems this swapper has been rated 3 several times for late sends, so rating you a 3 might just be their way of responding to that. |

Wow, I can't believe that the post office didn't post mark it for 10 days! Do you think she received it 10 days after the send by date and thought she was to receive it by the send by date? Exactly Panda. I do the same thing, so I know when my stuff gets postmarked, which is always before I leave the building!!! LOL! |

I should have gone to the post office. I just put stamps on it and left it on my mailbox for the postman to pick up. I've always done this in the past with my swaps unless its a big heavy box, then I go to the post office to get it weighted. I've never had a problem until now. I guess I'll have to go down to the post office from now on to get it postmarked and delivery confirmation. It just makes me so angy to get a low rating when I put a lot of time and effort on my swaps. I never get a low rating when I receive late things, even if they are weeks late. I just assume life happens and I am happy when the package finally comes to me, but I guess not everyone gives the benefit of the doubt. |

Yeah, I'm really sorry this happened to you qnkrla. I have no problem giving one's for things that never arrive, but I don't give 3's for lateness unless someone jerks me around for months with lies and a river of unlikely excuses. I have some 3's for lateness (post marked 5 days late due to an out of state death in the family) It made me feel sad for them. |

3s for lateness when it is no fault of your own suck! I have a 3 too, despite communicating to my partner that I was going to be late due to being in hospital! But you do get over it :) Hopefully your partner will up the rating when you explain what happened. |

I sent out a swap on the last day. Receiver said they received it 10 days late and rated me a 3! When is it appropriate to rate someone a 3?
