I have just been introduced to swap- bot and think this place is very nice.

My mumis very sick and been in and out of hospital for 6 months now . Her health is topsy turvey and at times it can get annoying . Im not saying this in a bad way but when old people and when they are sicly , boy u just have to have patience with them. Shes also having memory loss :( now thats not very easy for at times she keeps asking the date or year. once mum even asked about my dad who had passed on 3 years back .

CAN i ASK ALL THE LADIES IN SWAPBOT WORLD TO PLZ PRAY FOR MY MUM , SHE DESPRETLY NEED IT . and for me , i need all the patience .

Thanks for reading and sorry for complaing.

don't feel bad about your conflicting feelings... i love my mother to pieces but she totally drives me bugshit. the one thing i can say is that i've not said a cross word to her... and it's taken ALOT of prayer for that to happen! i remember being in walmart with her and i had lost her a couple times already and she was wandering around striking up conversations with people (which is cool - but i was kinda in a hurry) and boy i had to stand there grittin' my teeth and prayin' to get through that little shopping trip.

just when you go visit her, send God before you and He'll help you out! then at the end of the day, you know you've gritted your teeth and not said anything contrary and that's a good thing. boy it ain't easy cuz mine can rip everyone around her a new asshole but you don't dare do it to her! but i just keep on smilin' and being the cheer fairy and we all get on down the road. :-D

thankfully my mom keeps on hobbling along and she really doesn't have the memory loss like your mom does... so that's really hard, i can't imagine it... i think you're doing great to be as patient as you are...

i'll sure keep you and your mom in my prayers and i'm sending you big hugs too!

This is amazing :) so many ladies have replied . I never taught anybody would really take the few mins to reply to me.

Thanks so much , it means alot to me ( wpies a tear) outside the real world there is another world on the net .

When I was introduced to the internet I heard stories how friendly people giving advising each other , joking , making friends , but it seems to far fetched for me ..... but now i have seen it myself :)

Thanks alot u wonderful ladies.

I pray that you do find your patience. Cherish her even though she is not well. They are gone all too quick, leaving a huge void.

So we are part of your support group? That's cool. I like being able to comfort someone across the world thru the internet. I am glad that you felt comfortable enought to post your concerns. I am wishing lots of patience and love for you. I can imagine that your Mom lost you in the store when you were little.
My Dad is having memory problems, usually we just go along with him and not argue the point because he honestly does not remember. I am so concerned that he may have the beginnings of the altheimers.

OK one little story: My Aunt has been getting in worse and worse shape almost blind and hearing is poor along with other problems. Her house is falling around her ears, her stove and microwave and coffee pot are all broken. Finally her day care giver took her to lunch with her pastor to an assisted living facility. They asked her if she was ready to stay and she said she did not think so. They told her if she did not they would take it to court on Friday because she could not go on like this anymore. Now she is in the home and loving it some of her old friends are on the same wing as her and she doesn't stay in her room much she is out in the visiting area chatting with her old friends and making new ones. And before she was barely eating sitting in that old house alone. What a relief she took to it like a duck to water. I share this because I know so many people feel guilty if they put a parent into an assisted living or nursing home and they are not all bad, we just hear about the bad ones.
