I could be wrong...but isn't this a regifting swap, meaning things more like "fluorescent pink journal," or "radical country music cd," rather than "10 sheets of blah blah" and "bunch of blah blah"???

I'm gonna second that sentiment. Time to re read the swap description, me thinks!

Um, the swap description says this is for stuff you received as a gift but don't use, so, why would it not be OK to pass on paper you received from someone else but are not going to use?

Anke, because stuff you receive that you don't use would be still in the package (more than likely). The description of these items reveal them to be better fitted to other swap tag games, not this one. "A bunch of" and "ten sheets of" represent remnants of items, which as I understand the first post, is not what this swap is about.

Not everything is new and comes in packages that you get from people? So exmaple: if you get 10 papers of stationery of the same kind that you don't like.. Why not regifting?

That's a good point! However, if one uses the first offer as an example, the items are of good value, not minimal value. And I guess that's my point.

I would just hate to see this thread disintegrate to items that are better suited for other swaps. After all, who would want to tag 10 sheets of paper and offer up something of value after that? I can buy ten sheets of paper for less money than it would cost to send out most of the stuff I'd want to regift.

So, that's my point, but yours is good as well!!!

i agree with LMeowkin on this one, this isn't a regular swaptag. I know that you can regift 10 papers of so and so, but i also believe the value of items offered on this swap are of a different kind. but since this candy star swap idea, i'd like to hear if she thinks that those items listed are considered part of regifting as in the swap rules, or not.

OKay I've tried to post this 3 times... swap-bot hates me, it's not showing up:

Basically - paper is a perfectly acceptable item to regift, as I have received paper in swaps that I didn't like. However, as with all tags - you should post items of the same value as that you are receiving.

So... not to cause trouble, but the real issue here is when shopinc claimed a whole scrapbooking set and offerred atcs and stickers in return... I think that for receiving stickers, stationery is acceptable in return (although 10 sheets is a little low - maybe 15 or 20 in return for sanrio stickers)...

And, to try to fix this...

I claim the ATCs!!

And offer:

1. Bunch of mix cds I got, ripped to my computer, and no longer need
2. Ice cream themed set... a pink ice cream scooper and some awesome smelling raspberry sorbet body wash
3. Diddl memo pad
4. Tiny pocket-sized gift book called "Best things in life start with J" - has quotes and stuff, along with an unopened pack of J-shaped flourescent post-it notes.

But just use discretion.. this isn't a big-high-dollar tag or anything, but try to keep it fair.
