What a great idea. Plus I know I would like it if after getting our packages you could give us newbies constructive feedback (positively worded of course) on our packages to help us become better swappers. I know I'd like to try matchboxes but worry that since I'm new they may not be up to par to join the formal swaps for them.

I am willing to set up swaps with newbies so you can get rated.

Within the USA: I will swap penpal letters, ATCS, candy, address labels for items, etc.

International: I'd rather keep it at ATCs, penpal letters, stationary, lighter stuff.

And like someone mentioned I will send when I recieve. That way no one gets scammed. :D

I can only do domestically until I get stuff straightened out with my mom (she owes me $60 less now woohoo - $1760 more to go).

A profile surprise is when your partner goes to look at your profile and finds something to send you based on things you like. Like, I have fantasy things listed, so I've gotten surprises with things like unicorns and dragons. It's always fun to see what people send, and it's a very good reason to have your profile very well filled out!

Drat! I wanted to swap chocolate, and that isn't fat free!!! ;-)

Here is a tutorial by the originator of Dotee Dolls, and this page has lots of them. If you are interested, you can either Google for Dotee or search on Flickr for many more examples. They seem to be spreading around the sewing and swapping communities like a (benign) virus. Some people seem to have taken the Dotee idea and developed their own versions too, like icicle dolls.
