At least there's another one on the floor. At my house it's always swinging empty without another roll in sight & I never notice until it's too late. sigh |

Cat boxes. Two of them. Sometimes cats miss. Their aim is terrible. |

The first thing that came into my head was that I am the one who has to menstruate... My husband is not able to cook meat (unless it is prepared and he has just to warm it up) or fill and activate washing machine (but he is able to empty it and even iron clothes if in dire need - like when I was pregnant and got sick of ironing smell alone). |

mum and i share the chores. i do most and then she does the one room in the house that i haven't done that week. she cooks for her and my step dad and i cook my own, but one night a week i make something for them to. mum and i empty the bins, do our washing. my step dad? ummm..... he'll push the hoover around and dust a little if mum tells him to. he only "cooks" if mum is out. which means using the microwave, and often i end up doing that! when he lived alone helived on packet meals. no i came name something my step dad does - he tops the windscreen wash up on the cars and does things like that with the cars. but inside the house? nothing!! |

Same as Jannikinz : I'm both the one who does everything... and the one guilty of not doing chores. I think I should have a big conversation with my vacuum cleaner. |

Taking small items upstairs ... you know, the bits and pieces for which it isn't worth making a special trip upstairs, so you just put them on one of the bottom steps for the next person to go up to take up as they go. He's great a putting things on the stairs, but hardly ever takes things up unless reminded. He'll go out of his way to step over or around them, yet claim he didn't notice them or didn't 'think' to pick them up. He does (or rather, doesn't do) the toilet roll thing too. I'm the one who doesn't deal with sick/poo if he is around to do it, as he copes with it better than me. I'm the one to empty the litter tray and give it its thorough wash, though - he never thinks about that, just the 'scooping'. |

Like jannikinz and nanamint, I live alone so I have no one to blame if things don't get done. Unless I can blame Simon, he's pretty lazy♥ I wonder if I can train him to empty his own box? |

Wiping off the kitchen counters and stove after cooking a meal or getting a snack or feeding the cat. It's not a big deal but it drives me crazy. There can be dirty dishes everywhere and dust bunnies a foot thick, but as long as the counter is clean I feel like I live in a clean house! lol |

Oh yes, Terry! That drives me nuts. He drips milk, splodges of jam or marmalade, just about anything and never wipes them up as he goes. They are always left for me to clean later. |

I do the organizing/putting away of things. I don't think I've seen Jay ever do that. Oh, and I scrub out the tubs/showers. Every other task we share, though. It's not too bad.... |

how about filling up the cold water bottle or cordial bottle in the fridge? i have to do that. in my house they purposely leave about enough to cover the bottom in the bottle so they havent totally emptied it and there fore have to refill it. the other thing would be feed the rabbit. the other day i said to my son who is 14, i am just popping out the back to feed the rabbit. his comment was, hasnt it died yet? |

clean the toilet and the stove! my hubby will vaccum but he brings in his shop vac. I laugh everytime!!! |
as women we fall into the catagory of doing all the icky jobs no one else picks up. just for interests sake list one thing that you do that no one else in your family seems "capable" of doing?
mine would be to put new roll of toilet paper on the roll and put the old empty roll in the bin. how many times do you go in there and find the old roll swinging on the holder totally empty but the new one has been started and sat down on the floor. anyone else care to share?
