lamborama 03/14/2008

This is a little chance to be positive and maybe cheer up someone who needs a bit of cheering up. You can tell something nice someone did for you, something beautiful that caught your eye, a funny story about your kids, or whatever it was that made you feel good today.

This was my happy moment for the day... talking to my mom and this lovely little bird showed up, and stayed just long enough for me to take his picture. It must be spring!

Here's Mine

My best friend called me. He said he was sorry he did not return my call on Wend. He was sorry for being a bad friend. It made me smile knowing that he cared enough to let me know he falt bad :)

I sent 12 packages out to swap partners today. Whew...it felt so good to push "I sent my stuff" for each package...now I start biting my nails until every last one arrives.

A flock of Grosbeaks (pretty black and yellow birds) came to my birdfeeders. That made me happy.
Unfortunately, one of them ruined it by smashing into a window. I'm not sure if he died, I thought he was dead, then he sat up but wasn't moving. An hour or so later I looked again and he was gone so either he recovered and flew away or the neighbor's cat got him.

Watched "Stardust" with my mom.
My kid got out of school early today and we ate lunch together.
Getting a sweet package in the mail today from Courtney =)

Having it be Friday made my day. :) I saw my friends. I got paid and bought a calling card to call my daddy. I emailed my mum a link to Monsterpiece Theatre (Sesame Street!) and she emailed me back saying she loved it and it brought back memories.

my moment was going to a new vet i found just a couple miles from my house! a CAT VET! she was MARVELOUS but the shining moment was when i was in their absolutely delightful waiting room (cat stuff everywhere) and what walked out from one of the rooms?

a maine coon cat! OMG! i'd never seen one before and this boy was absolutely MAGNIFICENT! he was HUGE! he was a tabby type ... and then... to make it even better, another one came out from the back of the office! an orange and white one.... he was just as huge and just as magnificent... WOWOWOWOW!

My daughter and I had dinner and she PAID and then asked if I'd like to go to another bar/restaurant later for an early St. Patrick's Day celebration . . .

I thought that was really sweet of her!

And that is a really beautiful blue bird, lamborama. Thanks for sharing the picture with us.

I had a ghost of a song in Estonian in my head for years - I knew refrain of it but nothing else and wanted to find out the words. I had had it for years already when 13 years ago my then-boyfriend admitted he had heard something like that and therefore I started to believe again this song indeed existed. I had googled the words I knew without success... I really didn't know what else to do.

So, two days ago, my husband, who is definitely not an Estonian, puts on a LP (yes, a LP!) for evening as he usually does. And what do you think was the last song on that!?

He has had this LP obviously for years, bought on some trip to Estonia before we even met! And we have been married for seven years and only now will he let me to listen to that song!!!

niecedenise 03/15/2008

lamborama 03/15/2008

my happy moment for the day... going to the garden section of Home Depot cuz it just smelled so nice will all those flowers outside!

And then my OTHER happy moment was sitting in the sunroom watching the storm and the indignant look on my cat's face every time the thunder woke her up. She's such a prissy princess!

Sunshine9905 03/15/2008

Going over to my Mom's today and having her fix my sewing machine. Also, my neice, TELLING ME ME, "I want to go wif you Jenfer." Today is the first time I've heard her cal me by my name. We shared cookies while my boys were in another room. Seeing the deer on the way home tonight. And, getting extra kisses from my eight year old!
