Nana, instead of posting a new comment each time, you can go back and edit your previous failed one until you get it to work. |

I assume that once ♥ starts working again, your examples will do so too. Yeah, I got confused the first time I saw sininjenny post. I thought "I don't remember posting that", then realised what had happened. Just call me non-sinning jenny to avoid any confusion with my 'dark side'. l-) |

If you put 3 asterisks on each side of the text you want to format you get both ... like this ... You need to be careful about accidentally using *s (or _s) more than once in a post or you may find you have accidentally formatted parts of your post, as I just did before I corrected it. :-) |

You don't want the @ when you are posting the link as text. The @ only works with links to member here, I think.
OK, that page which you posted is complicated. The usual way to pick up the URL of an individual graphic on a web page is to right click on it, then select Properties and copy the URL from the box that pops up, but if you do that with the duck on the glitter graphics page, you get an empty graphic, with no image. If you look at the text box below the graphic, you can get the URL from there - the bit that ends in ".gif" in this case, though in some cases it will be ".jpg" or ".jpeg".
The reason they do it that way, is that if you use the full code from the box in a normal HTML page, it makes the picture into a clickable link back to their web site, which is only fair since you are 'borrowing' it from them. So, you should really do a clickable link here too, whihc is a bit more complicated than a normal link ...
I apologise for the tiny text, but adding 5 spaces at the start of the line is the only way I know to make it show the text and not act on it, and then the font comes out like that. If you copy and paste it into a text file, it will look fine, and you can edit the URLs.
in this case:
which gives:
Now, the downside is it puts that annoying blue line around it. If anyone knows how to stop that, I'd love to know how. At the moment, the only way I know to avoid it is not to link back, so if you choose to ignore their preferred way of oign it, you can just use:
