Description:

Let's try something interesting and challenging again - free form crocheted cuff swap. This time we will let receiver to choose main color theme, but you will have to leave two or three choices in the comments below this swap. Also, note the cuff measurement in the comments below. Free form simply means, that you go wild and do not follow any particular pattern, although you can use pattern for elements of the cuff. Go to the flicker and you will find many wonderful ideas. As always we will be using just natural fiber yarn. I think mostly cotton is safe way to go for the bracelet, because it is worn right against the skin. You can use a bit of beads or other embellishments, but the main beauty should be in the crochet. Let's crochet each other a wonderful holliday present!

I would love either greens, or blues, or purples. Okey, my truly favorite color now is rust orange, but I know it is hard to find yarn in this color. My size is 7-7.5 inches(I already added an inch for the comfort).

This sounds just great! I have not done too much of this type of freeform work! I love rich deep colors like black, browns, deep emerald, deep purple, burgundy, etc...I am not picky.

This is for a single cuff bracelet?

Saulute 10/30/2011 #

Yes. I think before hollidays we don't have that much time, but we still want to play. Come play with us! I crocheted one to try - you can see the proccess on my flicker http://www.flickr.com/photos/feltingme/, even though I did it not traditional freeform way. usually you crochet elements first and then join them in a free way. I just did it all at once.

Amigirl, please leave your measurement for the cuff.

Oh, it's beautiful! OK... I am IN! Thanks for the quick response and the pleasure of your flickr!

I prefer browns, maroons, deep purples/eggplant, ecru as contrast. But I am TRULY not a picky color person. I would be just as pleased with a classic rainbow approach AND would wear it in the middle of WINTER...

Cuff size 6-3/4" (with 1/2"-1/4" for flex space).

I like greens, browns, blues (fields, earth, sky). I just measured my favorite bracelet and it is 7.5".

I Pm'd my partner my wrist measurement. It was 6.5, but I wanted it a bit bigger.
