Description:

It's Girl Scout cookie time again and I can't resist them. In honor of the Girl Scouts and to help boost their sales, and I know from experience as I was a GS for 7 years as a young girl and my daughter was one also, how important this sale is for them. In the discussion area below, please name 2 favorite GS cookies. We will buy 1 box for our partner. Another tradition in GS is "swaps" (Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere). So also for your partner make some kind of pin to wear. It doesn't have to be GS themed, nor does it have to be anything fancy. Just a quick pin craft.

Rules: USA only, ratings of 4.6 at least, no recent no-sends, newbies are welcome with a filled out profile.

Girl Scout cookies are on sale now through sometime in March only, so get yours soon.

My favorite cookies are Tag-a-longs (chocolate covered with the dab of peanut butter on top) and Thin Mints!

Please be aware that the GSUSA uses 2 DIFFERENT bakers for their cookies and the names of them do vary from place to place. They also still have their own variety but have a few of the same.

Here are the links to the two bakers and the cookies they have:

If I MUST choose, my favorites are Caramel DeLites (Samoas?) and Lemonades. I love Girl Scout cookies! :)

Hehe, Elizabeth, we'll sell ya some:) I'm my troop's cookie parent! We take paypal, lol:)

Since we're on the east coast and use Little Brownie Bakers, I'd like to try west coast cookies! If someone would care to send me Cinna-spins or Lemonades, that'd be great! If you're also an east coaster, the Lemon Chalet Cremes or Trefoils/shortbreads are nice (and I don't have to share em with my troop cause they don't like those flavors!!)

Thanks zigg13pra, I forgot to mention the 2 different bakers. Elizabeth4510, hopefully you'll find Girl Scouts selling them at the stores or parking lots.

Lol, its not all setup by eastcoast/westcoast. We use both bakers here in texas, but with this council realignment, who knows what we are all doing...

ha we are selling Girl Scout cookies lol. We had a meeting tonight. So far so good on the sales. So far my daughter and I have sold over 50 boxes. Please remember when buying the cookies you are helping towards that troops funds for outings. And if you don't want the cookies you can still do a taxable donation. Ask your local troop and they have the paperwork you can fill out. We are a new group so we have a lot of work to do. Have fun with this swap and buy lots of cookies :-)

If my partner is from the ABC Bakery area, I would love lemonades and cinnaspins. (we don't have those in our area)

If my partner is from the Little Baker area, I like Thin Mints and Tagalongs, however I would actually prefer to purchase a box for the troops.

Our council will take the $3.50, purchase a box of cookies and pack them with other boxes purchased and send them to Iraq for the troops fighting over there. If my partner would like to send me a Money Order (made out to Rayne Van Riper) For $3.50/box in lieu of a box of cookies I have no business eating, I will see that the money goes towards a troop purchase.

I should point out, too, that there is a Girl Scout/Girl Guide group on Swapbot. See my profile (or ziggy or chanel's) for a link to get there.

Actually, here is a link directly to the Girl Scout/Girl Guide Group on swapbot.

I am also a Girl Scout leader and have cookies for sale if anyone needs any :)

My favorites are the thin mints but I would like to try something different if I get a partner who uses little brownie bakers.

I am curious about how much a box is in different areas. In St. Louis we still sell for $3 a box.

To my swapper: I would prefer lemonades or cinnaspins(ABC)--or samoas or thin mints(litl brownie). Thanks so much. Ours get delivered Feb 21--i ordered some of everything (litl brownie). GO GIRL SCOUTS!

hippofairy 02/ 9/2008 #

i love girl scout cookies! but i'm weird and don't like thin mints. i think i ate too many when i was selling them, and have gotten my fill for the rest of my life. i do love the samoas (chewy caramel) and tagalongs (peanutbutter & chocolate). :) and i'm going to have to start searching for cookies.

hippofairy 02/13/2008 #

and i love love to try new cookies from other regions, too. :)

kfronefield 01/15/2012 #

I know this is an old thread, but I am looking to swap cookies from other regions I am in the NE part of PA.
