Description:

A swap for ATCs that look like sports trading cards only with young adult authors instead of sports stars. Jump in any time!

You will send 2 different Young Adult Author Trading Cards to 1 partner. Here's the twist: Card #1- you make yourself. Card #2- you can either make this one or send a card you received in a previous round of the swap. So it really is like trading. The only rules are that your two cards must be of different authors and you must not send a card back to the person who made it (that's no fun).

Choose any authors you want; the only requirement is that they must have written at least one young adult story or novel. The authors are your choice, so you can start making your Young Adult Author Trading Card(s) as soon as you sign up if you like or you can wait to find out who your partner is.

Examples:

Note: these are just examples. Yours do not have to look exactly like these. Be creative! Just be sure to include the required elements below on the front & back.

Front Must Contain:

  • The words "Young Adult Author Trading Card"
  • A picture of the author
  • The name of the author

Back Must Contain:

  • At least one title of something the author wrote
  • At least one quote by the author or from one of the author's works
  • Your name
  • Any other random facts you want to put there that will fit (examples: author's website, date of birth, awards won, fun facts, names of book series, additional images, cover art, etc.). You can put as many or as few as you like as long as the three items above are there

Size:

2.5" x 3.5" (ATC size)

Medium:

Digital, drawn, crafted--whatever floats your boat as long as you include the required elements somehow on the front & back.

I will angel if you're flaked on, but this group is fantastic and I'm sure it won't happen. We'll have one of these every month so you can build a good collection. Questions? Message me or post below.

Remember: send two cards. Either two you made yourself or one you made and one you received in a previous swap. You may NOT send two you got in previous swaps--one must be your own creation!

Could we list here the cards weร‚ยดve alredy received, so we wonร‚ยดt get duplicates? At least I would like to get as many different authors as possible.

So Iร‚ยดve received Garth Nix and Jonathan Stroud (both total strangers to me, but will find out more about them) from the 1st round!

If you'd like to list the ones you've received, that's great. Though I figured if you get duplicates, you can send one out in your next swap as the card you didn't make yourself.
