Description:

This is my first attempt at hosting a swap. The site seems like a lot of fun so far and I hope people will join me here in trading some vegan recipes. You certainly do not need to be a vegetarian or vegan to join. I just had not seen many recipe swaps so thought this would be fun.

The idea here is to trade a standard 3 inch by 5 inch (approx 76.2 by 127.0 mm) index card with your recipe on it. There are other size cards out there, but according to most online sources I have read, 3x5 is a pretty common size recipe card (See http://www.cookbookpeople.com/blog/2012/04/16/recipe-cards-an-overview for more info on recipe cards). You can decorate your card however you want...or you can simply write the recipe.

The key to this swap is the recipe should be vegan. Vegan means no product of any kind from an animal. While vegetarians will sometimes drink dairy products or eat eggs, vegans abstain from any animal product. If you have a questions as to whether something is an animal product or not, don't hesitate to email me (it can be tricky with some ingredients these days).

So if you feel up to the challenge, I think this would be a fun way to swap some healthy animal friendly and cruelty free recipes.

So any vegans signing up for this or just people interested in trying something new?

Something new... altho I do the total vegan diet, from time to time .

I was vegan for a couple of years. My fiance and I eat a few vegan meals a month, but mostly veg and some meat/animal time-to-time. Either way, I have a vegan recipe EVERYONE (even the most die-hard meat-eater) loves. I love sharing it!

Well @oregonstephanie if we don't get paired up I certainly want to grab this recipe from you that everyone MUST have :). I've got a few wicked ones that I make that I've had similar reactions to from meaties.

Glad to see everyone has sent. Was getting nervous as we got close to the deadline!
