Description:

With the permission of the wonderful @Lahdeedah I am allowed to copy a swap she has hosted in another group before.

Can you hide a profile surprise in a postcard?

You will have one partner for this swap. Send your partner two postcards and one profile-based surprise.

•Choose two postcards of the same size. Any theme will do, but please don't send something listed specifically as a "dislike" on your partner's profile.

•Find or make a flat profile-based surprise with dimensions the same as or smaller than those of the postcards. Some ideas are:

postage stamps (new or used)

an ATC

a bookmark

a sticker sheet

a note card

a teabag

another postcard

•Address one of the postcards. Write your SB username and the swap title on this card. You can include a little drawing or note, but don't mention the fact that the card is transporting a stowaway surprise.

•Sandwich the surprise between the card you've written on and the other postcard. Be sure to have the picture from the second card facing up and out.

•Make a tape border around the edge of the cards to hold them together. I like to use washi tape because it peels off easily without damaging the cards and looks like part of the postcard.

•Put on your trench coat and slink over to the post office. Casually hand your "postcard" to the clerk. Say, "I need to buy a stamp for this postcard." Whistle a little tune or talk about the weather while you wait for him/her to apply cheap postage.

OR •Stick a letter-rate stamp on the card and drop it in the mailbox because, unless the surprise is a gold brick, you know that's enough postage to cover it. :-)

Flakers will be stuffed in a suitcase and shipped, postage due, to Antarctica.
