Zentangle Inspired Art Swap Series Homepage

In preparation for my Zentangle classes, I have come across some articles which link the practice of exercising gratitude to achieving long term inner happiness.

Since this swap will take place around Thanksgiving in the USA, I thought this theme would be most appropriate for this season. Also, since Thanksgiving is not a holiday in most parts of the world, naming this swap after the holiday might subtract from the experience for some of us. Hence, I am inviting everyone to join in this swap with an attitude of thankfulness and gratitude, which I believe is applicable to everyone, universally.

Please check that you have read the details as the requirements for each swap in the series may vary.

This is a sender's choice swap. For this swap only, religious themes are allowed, since our beliefs do, to varying extents, affect our sense of gratitude and thanksgiving, but please still be sure to avoid controversial themes. PLEASE NOTE: If you are queasy about receiving anything too religious or receiving something from another culture/religion, my advice is to please sit this swap out.

This is a type 3, International swap with a minimum rating of 4.99 and above. For interested swappers with less than 4.99, do leave me a private message for consideration.

I will angel if necessary.

The Details:

  • One partner, one ATC

  • It is your decision to use the space however you like, for this swap. For example you might want to do a zendala/mandala or a dreamcatcher. Or you might want to feature an ornate celtic cross. For the non-religious, you might decide to go with a bunch of hearts or flowers as your string, symbolising friendship.. a bunch of stars, if you are into star-signs.. or even an angel-wing string if you fancy. The main idea is to feature something you are thankful for, or a source of thankfulness and blessings that play a part in your personal life.

  • Use a minimum of two tangles. More tangles are fine, no less than two.

  • You may choose to buy or create your own ATC from your favourite art paper, bristol board, strathmore cold press, etc., just ensure your ZIA ATC is thick enough.

  • You may choose to include a sleeve for the ZIA ATC, but it is not a requirement.

  • You may choose to use shading, glitter, fabric and colours in your ZIA ATC but it is not a requirement.

  • Include a note containing: A. your SB moniker, B. swap name, C. a few lines to share with your partner, and D. quick list of tangles used in your ZIA ATC.

  • Send your ZIA ATC and note in an envie.

  • Rate your partner when you receive a ZIA ATC with a note that includes A. B. C. & D.

P.S. You are more than welcome to post your preparation, pre-swap and post-swap photos to our shared Pinterest board :) Just send me a line so I know to drop you an invite!
