Oracle Deck Card/Book Page Swap

Let’s create an Oracle Deck! An Oracle deck is akin to a Tarot deck, but without the traditional symbols and meanings.. much more organic. I prefer them to Tarot decks, so, that’s what we’ll be making ;)

This will be a long-term swap, to take place monthly. We will do 3 cards each month for a total of 36 cards (1 full year) I will provide the card names and meanings at each monthly swap for the 3 cards that we will be making.

How to make the cards:

• Each card will be the same size as a standard playing card. 3 ½ x 2 ½ inches.

• Use images that represent the card meaning. Try not to be too cryptic, we want the cards to be easy to use. Include the card title somewhere on the face of the card.

• You can embellish and decorate them all you would like. You can do this digitally or you can use loose items because you will not be sending the actual item/s to your partner. After the card is finished, you will scan the collage (or use a digital collage) and print out a high resolution/high quality print to send to your partner.

• Make sure the entire surface has something! No sticking a single image in the center of a black card, etc!

• You will also create a chunky book page to go with the card that has the meanings written (or printed… if printed, please use an easy to read, but pretty font) on it so that when we are finished, you will have a deck and a book to go with it. It should be 5 x 5 inches and should be front and back. One side should be the meaning of the card and the other side should be a space for personal notes. This should be done in such a way so that when the book is open, the meanings are on the left (backside) and the space for notes is on the right (frontside)

When you get your cards and pages:

• Buy a deck of cards with a back image/pattern that you like. Secure your images to the face of the cards using glue or decoupage paste, seal and viola! Your very own Oracle Deck! :)

• Create a lovely cover and put all of your pages together and you have a book to go with it to help you study your meanings.

Because this is a big commitment, No newbies and you must have a 5 rating and at least 5 hearts! Any flakers will be forever banned from future swaps and will end up with a HEAVY dose of bad Karma! I will angel the cards, but probably not the pages. But, I am counting on NO flakes! I will be checking profiles and reserve the right to ban any member for any reason.

If you don't have a perfect 5... message me and convince me why you should be in the swap... I'm understanding :)

• Muse

Upright ~ Our muse inspires us to create. S/he moves us and stirs our soul. Full of passion and energy we dive headfirst into a new creation or inspiration. We have the ability to create great works, masterpieces! We discover parts of our heart and soul that may have been hidden or still.

Reversed~ Our muse twists our energy and pulls us into situations that are traps. We become entwined in our own wants and drive and forget that which is most important. Our resources are put to ill use and our priorities in disarray.

• Love

Upright ~ There is Love in our lives! Maybe it is a new relationship or the rekindling of a current flame. Now is the time to feed that flame and create some passion!

Reversed~ We are smothering or neglecting that flame and it is dying out. Maybe there has been a downpour recently and all of our kindling has become drenched. Perhaps now is the time to look inward, making changes within our selves and our lives so that Love has an opening in our lives.

• Success

Upright ~ Now is the time to reap the rewards of all of our hard work! Things are finally going the way we would like and possibly even some pleasant surprises as well! It is a time of abundance and we should take advantage of this plentiful blessing! Be sure to put a little aside for later.

Reversed ~ Maybe we are not working as hard as we could be, or maybe success simply eludes us for some unknown reason. Maybe the timing is just not right or possibly we have expected more than we should have. Now is the time to be grounded and realistic. Hard work pays off, but sometimes can take much longer than we expect. Sometimes our hard work builds our character but does nothing for the pocketbook.
