Description:

Spring is rapidly approaching, certainly in the Northern Hemisphere, so let's make a Stuffie to welcome it. Using any material you fancy (felt is ideal), make an animal or bird associated with Spring. Think lambs, bunnies, chicks etc. I would suggest keeping size somewhere between 3" and 6". With regards to stuffing, you have two choices. Either stuff lightly, in order to keep postage costs down, or leave unstuffed, with a hole to add the stuffing and send with some matching thread so your partner can stuff and finish it off themselves. Add a hanger, beads or other trimmings if you want. Pinterest and the Internet are awash with ideas. All I ask is that you give it your best shot and and enjoy the process! It goes without saying that I don't anticipate any flaking, but I will angel if it happens, once a one rating has been given.

This swap sounds fun! I have one idea for keeping shipping costs lower (I did another stuffy swap and it ended up costing over 10$ to mail!) Instead of stuffing our own animals we could leave them unstuffed with a small hole in the top and include a bit of the same colored thread we used. Then when the receiver gets the package they can stuff the animal and finish the top themselves. If everyone in the swap does it then its fair and it will be cheaper for all! I think unstuffed, if you put the felt between two thick pieces of card stock you can get away with it being just an oversized envelope rather than a package.

That's a good idea. I'll amend the swap to reflect that xx
