Description:

I love making "one ring journals," and they are a great surprise to receive in the mail! They are easy to make. Just find some journal cards or small pieces of interesting paper to use as the pages. To make them into pages, punch one hole and slide them into the ring.
For this swap, I would like you to make a one ring journal with these requirements:

  • Sturdy covers

  • at least 5 pages (Some suggestions: pieces of scrapbook paper, doilies, large journal cards, and small book pages)

  • one if not more "dangles" (beads, tags, or bells)

  • some goodies hidden in pockets on the journal

Make your journal fun to touch and open. Send something you would like to receive!

I love making these too ~ could you host a USA one in the group? Pretty please :)

RyeRye 07/21/2016 #

I'd love to try this........USA only though~ :(

I am willing to host the USA only version if you don't want to @pcmiminini

I am willing to host a USA version! Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I can host it in a couple days. Thank you for being patient!

Yay! I've never done anything like this so will start now and IF I like it, I'll join in.

So should this be decorated on each page or mostly blank for them to fill in. I've done one like this on toilet tissue rolls and it was lots of fun!

pcmiminini 07/23/2016 #

It should be decorated on every page, because the idea is to have it be fun to touch and see. If you prefer one with space to write in, then you can communicate with your partner once you are matched up.

If you want a more immediate answer, don't hesitate to message me, because I check my messages more frequently.

Can anyone post a picture of an example of this? I have never heard of these and am not sure I grasp the concept. Thanks!

This is what it should look like:

Hope that is helpful! You can use anything to make it: postcards, tags, pieces of painted paper etc. All you have to do is punch a hole in it.
