Description:

The November 2016 Fandom in a Bag swap is Disney (Pixar, Studio Ghibli, Marvel, Muppets, Star Wars, and all other Disney-owned properties are fair game, if you so choose)

Step 1: Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, movies, shows, songs, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different types of items although more is certainly encouraged (PLEASE try to make it look full). Different types of items means 5 ATCs, 3 pins, 2 postcards would be 10 items but only 3 different types. The swap requirement is for 7 different types in a bag.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, legal music CDs, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures about 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of March and please send by the deadline (March 31).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be banned from the magic kingdom forever.

Alrighty, I like classic Disney: Fantasia 2000 (because of the lovely mix between music and moving pictures), Peter Pan, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book (how awesome is that movie, seriously?), Robin Hood, Beauty and the Beast (I can relate to the way the Beast eats porridge - I, too, look like that when I'm hungry!), Aladdin ("One step ahead" is one of my favourite Disney song, and Genie is awesomeness), The Lion King (all of it, but Scar is a wonderful villain), Mulan (I love Mulan! The movie, the characters, the way it's drawn, Mushu and the songs - "I'll make a man out of you" especially!), Atlantis: The Lost Empire (a guilty pleasure, but I just love how all the characters get screentime and we get to know them - I love those characters!), Treasure Planet (mmm another guilty pleasure), Tangled (all of it, but Flynn Rider's relationship with that stern horse in particular :p) and Frozen (not my alltime favourite, but I love the fact that it was love between SISTERS that for once trumped the romantic love - that's rare in movies these days!). When it comes to Pixar, I never say no to Monsters Inc, Wall-E (okay, hands up; who cries during that movie? Because I do!) and Brave (badass independent ladies FTW!).

I adore the Nightmare Before Christmas (the songs! the animation! the characters!!!! the plot!!), which wikipedia tells me Walt Disney Pictures re-released in 2008, so that should count ... And then, of course, there's Mary Poppins, which I watched maybe 100 times when I was younger.

I am also an avid Marvel fan; comics (if they're well-drawn or well-written) and movies (and everything else, too, let's be real). I like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr IS Tony Stark by now, they're the same person), very much like Mark Ruffalo's Hulk (not so much the other actors' version ...), ADORE Loki (see: my fascination with Scar. Possibly related to a weakness for suave, sassy villains), LOVE the Captain America movies (BUCKY BARNES!!!1! and Falcon <3), loved the first Avengers movie (NOT Age of Ultron though), LOVE Guardians of the Galaxy (Groot and Rocket!!), really enjoyed The Amazing Spider-man (basically like every version of Spidey actually, except for Toby's). I haven't mentioned Black Widow, but that's because she hasn't got her own movie yet (I'm still waiting for it!!) - I still love her (because of being an aforementioned awesome lady).

I don't know if Deadpool counts, since Disney didn't really touch that movie much, but he IS a Marvel character and Marvel IS owned by Disney so ... yeah, I'll include him. I love Deadpool. He's awesome in just about every way. Again, movies or comics doesn't really matter.

Now, Disney has also done some other things that I love: Pirates of the Caribbean (Jack Sparrow! Aaah, such awesome movies! I dressed up as a pirate when I went to see the second movie), Cool Runnings ("Ya man!"), The National Treasure movies (smart, funny and Nicholas Cage isn't scary for once) and Sky High (SUCH a guilty pleasure - I had a character crush on Warren Peace for a while there. Then again, who didn't?). That's what I can think of right now. Which is probably good, since this turned into an essay. I just ... love Disney and their other stuff? Like, lots? Okay, shutting up now.

Yay for Disney!!! I see Disney in a traditional light: To me, the cartoon films are proper Disney films and maybe the Pixar films, too. The nostalgia is the biggest factor, why I love Disney, which means I prefer the older films and comic books. I used to buy lots of the Donald Duck pocket books when I was little and still love the original characters like Donald, Mickey and Scrooge McDuck. When it comes to films, I do prefer the non-princess films, although they do have a certain charm (for instance, I would like to receive them on DVD, because they are lovely, but I wouldn't want kitchy princess merchandise about them). My all time favourite is Mulan, absolutely stunning! Then I really adore Hercules, The Sword in the Stone (this is so hilarious! I'm still bursting into tears from laughter when I watch it), The Emperor's New Groove, The Jungle Book, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (this is a proper children's drama, despite its humour, which I'm impressed by), Aladdin and Monsters Inc ... and I have to admit that I'm in love with Winnie the Pooh. Yes, the Disney version, too! I adore Eeyore and Tigger.

I'm a total sucker for The Nightmare Before Christmas! This is an all-time favourite and I wouldn't mind any kind of merchandise and related stuff. Other than that I would really love DVDs of most Disney films (I own none of them ... we still had VCR back in the 90s which I can't play anymore :D) and merchandise that is not too kitchy or "in your face". Just to clarify this: Plushies and mugs are okay, children's hair accessoiries with Minnie Mouse in the middle of pink fluff are not. :D Thank you for reading!

Ooo well my favourite Disney film of all time is Mulan, followed by Lion King (one and two), the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Monsters Inc. (although to be difficult- I'm not really interested in depictions of Scully and Mike- I would REALLY love something with Randal on). I also like Tangled and Beauty and the Beast. I'll admit I haven't yet seen Finding Dory but I know there is a fair amount of really cute merch out for it at the moment and I'd love a cute fushy plushie or similar.

Speaking of which I love the soft Tsum tsums, and would appreciate a Tsum Tsum from anything I mentioned (and most other Disney things- just not a big fan for Marvel, Mickey Mouse and co. and Winnie the Pooh - I'm sorry!) especially an animal/creature rather than human. But I really don't like any merchendise that is art of tsum tsums on other things (for example I've seen pencil cases and such with pictures of tsum tsum-ified Disney characters and I'm not a fan).

Ooh! Also I guess Spirited Away counts since that's Studio Ghibli and Howl's Moving Castle.

Since Inhi included it, I'll mention that I love Deadpool too- not sure if it counts BUT I'd certainly happy for deadpool things.

Also I don't know how one could include this in a swap but I adore the music from Disney Films, from the ones I mentioned my favourite songs are I'll Make a Man out of You, My Lullaby (from Lion King 2), Hellfire and God Help the Outcasts from hunchback of Notre Dame, and any of the big ones from Beauty and the Beast.

If you need any more info feel free to Pm me.

LOVE LOVE LOVE: 101 Dalmatians, Eeyore, The Lion King.

LOVE: Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Dark Wing Duck, Gargoyles, Beauty & the Beast, Frozen (Love the sisters. Love Kristoff & Sven!!), Brave, Totoro, Mary Poppins (and its sequel because Lin-Manuel Miranda), Howl's Moving Castle, Marvel CMU (especially Hawkeye, Cap, Iron Man, and Coulson), Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars (Ewan's "young" Obi-Wan, Finn, Poe, BB8)

NOTE: My friends have cats named Pan & Hook, so anything Peter Pan related would also be lovely :-)

PS- I don't have the LEGO Disney Castle yet. LOL No, I don't expect anyone to get me that. I would love a Hawkeye Tsum tsum, but I have many Eeyore tsum tsums already.

i FORGOT TO MENTION SLEEPING BEAUTY! How could I have forgotten to mention that? I love that movie, too. But 101 Dalmatians is still my favorite Disney film :-)
