Description:

Well, now I have Rick Astley's song running through my head after choosing the name for this swap! Anyway...this swap is a little different than usual. I participated in one like this back in 2011 and it was pretty neat. There are two parts of this swap and it will have a lot of details and be very specific, so make sure you read everything!

Don't we all have some blank postcards that we just can't let go? I definitely do! Maybe there's a pretty card that you would love to keep for yourself or a card that would fit in your collection but you would rather have it stamped and postmarked than blank. The idea is that we'll be sending a card and then receiving it back from our partner.

So choose a card you love and send it off! You must write your name and address on the card. You don't need to put postage on it, but if you have a special stamp that you would like to have postmarked, you are welcome to put that on. Otherwise, your partner is responsible for putting the postage on. Also, in the message section, write your SwapBot ID and name of the swap.

The other part of this swap is that you'll also send your partner a blank postcard for them to keep. This must be a store bought postcard--nothing homemade and no free/AD/promo or touristy cards. This card will be completely blank with no writing and this is what your partner will be rating you on.

So there will be three things in the envelope you send to your partner:

  1. A piece of paper labeled with your SwapBot ID and "Never Gonna Give You Up PC Send & Return"

  2. A blank postcard for your partner to keep

  3. A postcard that you want returned to you.

Everyone, let's PLEASE be honest and trustworthy and send the cards back! I'm requiring a high rating and not allowing newbies due to the in depth nature of this swap so there will be less chance of flaking. Don't join the swap if you're unclear about the details or if you can't fulfill the requirements! Please ask questions to clear up any confusion

When you're ready to send your partner's card back, all you need to do is put a stamp on it, write the date,a short note or quote, your SwapBot ID and drop it in the mail.

(Getting it back will be on the honor system. When you receive your postcard back, go to the sender's profile and let them know you've received it.)

Also, don't send a very rare or precious postcard you will be extremely upset if you lose! There's always a chance of getting lost in the mail, or Heaven forbid, your partner flakes and doesn't send it back.

I hope I covered everything! Please comment below if you feel like I failed to do so. Since this is the first time I've hosted a swap like this, I may have left something out.

If this swap is successful, I would love to do more in the future. If you have any suggestions for things I should add or change, please leave a comment below.

Sounds good! How about an international swap? :-)

I'm sorry... I don't host international swaps @Mark63
