Description:

I got this idea based on a swap hosted by @AmericanHeiress called 'shared journal experience' in the main forum. This will be my own little twist, though, so let me know what you think! I plan to host this every few weeks, a new round each time, and you can join as many as you wish.

This will be a journal swap, BUT it's type 2 because we are only sending pages to each other, not the whole journal. It will keep down costs, keep the time between shorter, and you won't loose your journal! Sounds good, right? I hope so!

You should have a standard 3-ring binder or some type of folder to keep your pages in, but you will NOT be sending it out. It's just going to be a place to collect your pages.

You may type your entries or hand write them, but be sure they are standard computer page size, (8.5 x 11"/ A4) so they will fit in everyone's binder or folder. Please leave room on the left edge in case your partner wishes to 3-hold punch the page. :) Entries should, of course be neat and clearly written or typed. You may decorate your pages if you wish, just be sure they are still about to be clearly read. :) If you choose to add pictures or items like ticket stubs (as a magpie!) you may do that, but that needs to be in addition to your 1 page of written entry.

For each round you will send 3 pages (minimum): Page 1 will be a short biography of you, about 1 page long, but it can be longer. Whatever you choose to share.

Page 2 will be a journal entry of your day, about 1 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more than a page, that is fine.

Page 3 will be a journal prompt reply. You may choose from ONE of these topics:

Favorite holiday and how you celebrate it What values are most important to your family? Who is your quirkiest family member? Why do you consider them to be quirky? What memory or experience most changed your life? What TV show or movie do you wish you could visit (as if you could step into the set)? Do you think you'd like to live there? How do you feel about trying new things? Which "new thing" was most difficult for you?

So, you have typed & printed or written your bio, journal entry and journal prompt. Now what? You will send those 3 items to your swap-bot partner. :) If you get all 3, you rate them a 5. :) Hearts, of course, are up to you. You can then collect the entries in your binder or folder and add to it with each round.

This swap will be International, and you will have 1 partner.

Sound good? Any questions, concerns, comments? Please PM me (I don't see the comments as often as PM's, so it might take a while to get a reply.)

Is any of this confusing? I posted something similar in the main forum and - wow! - the questions!

Would postage keep you from signing up for this swap? Please let me know. :)

If you're only sending three pages, are you able to fold them and fit them in a #10 envelope or do you want to send them flat? Sending them flat will increase the postage on the swap.

Yes - sorry. @TamiTam55 good point. You may fold tje pages neatly & mail in a standard envelope. You do not have to mail pages flat. Sorry for the confusion.
