Description:

Welcome to the email version of my series of a journal swap! Join as many or few as you wish, and if you like this idea, maybe you'll join the type 3 version when I host those again. :)

I am continuing a series of Journal swaps from last year. You may join as many or as few as you wish. For these swaps, rather than sending a full journal - or a full file - we are only sending 3 entries. For this type 1 version of the swap, create your entries in a word document, and attach it to an EMAIL that you will send to your partner. You are required to send your swap by EMAIL, not by swap-bot PM! This is a requirement for the swap.

Please take the time to fully read the whole swap and requirements! Yes, it's a lot, but my aim is to be very clear.

This is an International swap, and would be a Type 3 swap, except we are sending by email, not by postal mail. This isn't a quick and done swap, please spend some time on your journal entries.

Requirements first: New swappers are welcome to join, with fully filled out profiles, and I will angel the swap if you are flaked on, after you rate accordingly.

If your rating is below 4.98, please PM me with the details, and I will decide, rather than just banning anyone with a lower rating. I want to be fair, give everyone a chance, but I need to look out for other swappers as well.

Any 1's or 3's on your record need to be resolved when at all possible, and please either comment about those ratings on your profile, or send me a PM to explain.

You MUST sign in to swap-bot within 2 days of sign up deadline, or you will be dropped. If you are unable to log in in that time frame, please send me a PM and let me know.

If I send you a PM, you must reply before partners are assigned. If I have a question about your swapping history, I need to know about this ahead of time!

This swap isn't profile based, so you can begin on it ahead of time. Sending on time is a must, and if for any reason you will be late, you need to contact your partner, and me (as host).

OK! Now the Swap!

For this swap, you will be sending 3 journal entries to your partner. You must complete all 3 parts of this swap.

**Use "Swap-bot: Collected Journal swap #10" as your EMAIL subject line." Hopefully, that will help it land in your inbox, and be easily identifiable!

Please use a word document for this swap, so you will have the guideline of length for each entry. You can send longer entries if you wish, but the MINIMUM is: (A FULL page is around 500 words, in 12 point font, so a half page is around 250 words. Aim for those numbers, so we are exchanging the same length of a document.)

Part 1 will be a short biography of you, at least a half page, but it can be longer. This is your introduction, where you live, your likes, hobbies, etc. You don't have to get super personal, but don't be too brief.

Part 2 will be a journal entry of your day, at least 1/2 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more, that is fine. Please date your entry, though!

Part 3 This entry should be a FULL page, and can be the back side of the pager containing the first 2 parts. This entry will be a journal prompt reply. Choose 1 or 2 of the prompts below to write about:

Write a letter to a parent or loved one, sharing an early childhood memory

Share a favorite recipe and a fond memory of that dish.

Write a letter to a former teacher or professor to let them know what you remember about their class, and what you're up to now.

Use a found photo - find one online, a random picture from a magazine, a bit of ephemera from your craft box ... - and make up a story about that picture. Who are the people in it? What are they doing? Or, what was that building used for? Who worked there? Or, When was that house built? Who lived there? What was their life like? Why did they leave? If possible, attach the photo to the page.

This swap is not profile based, so you can start on it when you first sign up. But this IS a journal, writing based swap, so please take your time, think it out.

If you have any questions, please send me a PM with any questions or concerns. I am trying to adapt this idea from a type 3 to a type 1, so I may have goofed the wording. :( Please ask!

The requirements you need to meet are the 3 topics. And it needs to be sent via EMAIL If you receive your swap meeting requirements, please rate your partner a 5.

I will angel this swap, if you are flaked on, once you have contacted your partner, and rated a 1.

I call this series the Collected Journal because we can collect our journal pages in a binder or folder. That isn't a requirement, it is simply for you. You may join as many or as few rounds as you wish. Thank you to @AmericanHeriess and @draco for allowing me to build on your ideas to create this one. :)

If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please send me a PM. I don't check comments often, but do check my messages daily.
