Welcome to my swap: A word of caution when deciding to join my swaps¦ newbie or veteran

Three words: Impress your partner

I joined swap way back in 2008 to have fun, be creative and above all to receive something from far away that would put a smile on my face. Which means take your time, put a little effort into what your doing, read your swap partners profile for starters (even if it is senders choice, passing along crap is just a no no and the fact that I have to write this is just mind boggling). I am not saying send me a Rolls Royce, but if my profile says I adore cats and you send me dog stuff ((um yeah, the fact that I have to rate a 5 puts me in a tug of war: did you even try?)). I find myself so excited when I receive my partners info that I can't wait to read over their profiles to figure out how to surprise them? My mission is to make you say WOW, she shouldn't have. Isn't that the whole idea? To be surprised, wowed and most of all happy!

I have had some wonderful newbies send me some of the most beautiful and creative packages over the years so I am not one to discriminate on those who are new. Everyone deserves a shot. I wanted to make this my friendly reminder. Lately I have just received too much and in no better way to put it (crap) have had complaints from other swappers How Do I Rate This? It's like they didn't read the rules at all!

So if you are excited about swapping, want to spoil and make your partner say wow: please join!

Inspiration: For The Love of Journaling I am adding a journal theme with a twist. Combining my love of bulleting, scrapbooking and journaling all in one

The Details

  • Please send 1 "Store Bought Journal with at least 80 pages and size 8.5”x11’’.

  • Please write, write and write some more please. Scrapbook, Paint, Draw, Collage & Bullet if you must. Add as much as you like be sure you make it beautiful and interesting for your partner to read.

  • Talk about your family, friends, career, what you do everyday, add lists, pictures, recipes and whatever else amazing you would like to share. You can include information about religions and politics. Please do not abuse or degrade or persuade your swap partner.

Hearts go to those who make who follow the directions above and if they sent something you absolutely love. You can add an extra goodie if you want, it's optional.

Happy Journaling to all.

No unexplained 1's or 3's. I will be screening all profiles. I will ban anyone who I think is shady. I will angel, but if any of you sign up and are willing to make a second just in case that would be amazing. I want everyone to receive something and not have to wait forever. Please send me a private message that you will be making two and I will add you to my nice list LOL

This is such an amazing swap! What Treasures you will all receive. I hope you will do it again in a few months.

Hunbun 07/19/2019 #

So we would fill up the entire journal and send it?

AmericanHeiress 07/19/2019 #

@Hunbun at least 80pgs filled.

cynaemon 08/12/2019 #

So you basically just want people to write, or do you want them to include other things?

AmericanHeiress 08/18/2019 #

@cynaemon it’s a lot of writing but you can collage and scrapbook add to it like recipes written in the journal, mood trackers for the month, goals, fun facts, lists of favorite movies, books places traveled, good eats and crafts too. Get creative
