BTH: August Sunflowers Tag

It's August now. The first harvest is in and small signs of autumn around the corner are evident here in New England. For me, the sunflowers that bloom this month are summer's beautiful farewell, so I thought we could celebrate summer - and August - with a sunflower tag!

For this swap, you'll have one partner for whom you will create a sunflower themed tag. The tag should be no smaller than a standard #5 shipping tag (4 3/4"x2 3/8"). The front may be created however you wish as long as the sunflower is your focal image. The back should be lightly altered as well, but does not require the same detail as the front.

You may make your own tag rather than procuring or purchasing a pre-made tag. Just ensure that it meets the size requirements!

In a Nutshell

• Decorate a standard #5 shipping tag (4 3/4" x 2 3/8") or larger with a pre-punched hole so the tags can be held together with a ring. If you don't have that size tag, you can cut one from heavy cardstock, scrap paper, or tag-board. The minimum size is the standard #5 - tags are allowed to be larger!

• The front may be altered in any way you wish - collage, mixed media, stamped, hand-drawn or painted, etc. Please put your best effort forward! The back should be altered as well, but does not have to be nearly as in depth or detailed as the front. Please sign the back too, with your name and the date.

• The art is sender's choice, so you can start at any time - just remember the theme - sunflowers!

• Tags are not profile based.
