Description:

My family has a tradition of adding an ornament to the tree for 12 nights as a type of countdown for the winter holidays. In recent years, we have been making the ornaments ourselves. This year, I thought it would be a really fun experience to share this tradition with others and send our ornaments out and put up the ornaments we receive. I am making this a 12-swap series with one ornament to one partner per swap. You'll be sending out 12 ornaments, and receiving 12 ornaments in return to decorate your tree, altar, or whatever display you use for the season. This series will end well before the winter holidays to allow for travel time, missing swap, and any other issues to be sorted out before holiday crunch time.

Ornaments are to be handmade and any medium of your choosing. Paper folding, crochet, clay, beads: use whatever crafting materials you're comfortable with. There won't be specific themes for these swaps, they will all be sender's choice (Please do check your partners scent preferences though if you are using anything that has a particular smell, as some users have very serious allergies.)

Please wrap your ornament like you would a stocking stuffer swap with a tag that has the swap info and your username, make sure it is packaged so it won't get damaged in shipping as well. It will be up to the recipient whether they open it immediately or save it (I personally will be saving them so we can open them as a family to hang them on our tree each night.) but please rate as soon as your receive the swap (that is why it's so important to include the swap info on the outside of the wrapping).

I hope this swap generates some interest, I love sharing small crafty things like this, and I especially love receiving these types of swaps that have the potential of becoming traditions and family heirlooms!
