The Eastern Orthodoxy religion follows the Julian calendar, so our Christmas falls on January 7th (or thereabouts) every year. The other Christian Christmas (Dec 25) is based on the Gregorian calendar. Neither is wrong. It’s the same celebration different day. I grew up being told that the “traditional Christmas” was when you were supposed to be done shopping for Christmas by. LOL. That is how my grandmother explained the difference to me. When I was older, is when I learned the actual difference. I just thought I would share, because it is always a cute story to me.
For this swap you will have ONE partner in which you will send FOUR small Christmas gifts to. Two must be Orthodox church/Christmas related and the other two should be profile related. You do not have to be Eastern Orthodox (Russian, Greek, Ukraine and so on) to participate, but please be respectful to our traditions.
Please spend no less than $10 before shipping. Read your partners profile. Find something that you think they would enjoy receiving as a Christmas gift. Please put thought and care into this, I know I will. Also please put which denomination you belong to below in the comments, even if you have it listed in your profile.
I do not put a rating, but I do check every profile before assigning. You MUST NOT have any unresolved 1s or 3s and no more than 3(total) in the last year. You MUST have at least 5 level 3 swaps. If you do not meet any of these requirements you will be dropped from the swap.
This is a USA only swap. If you would like to make an international one, please do.
