Description:

This has taken me (and @Minxy1964 thank you!) a long time to bounce around and come up with an idea... I hope you like it and will get involved!

Over the year (at least, maybe forever...who knows!) we will create our partner a junk journal, embellishments, and pages, that they will hopefully use, and then can add to themselves, also.

This will be largely PROFILE based, so there will be a longer create time after signing up. We want our partners to use their journals!

A rough guide:

  1. Covers (with book rings to allow for easy addition of pages)
  2. Pages (these will sometimes be themed for the year; Easter, Summer, Halloween etc.)
  3. Embellishments
  4. Pockets
  5. Dividers... just for starters.

These won't be HUGE swaps each time hopefully, just perhaps 5 embellishments for one, three pages for another, a journal charm in another. You get the idea!

The journal will be a standard size of A5 so that as we all swap partners, we can all ensure that all of our pages and inserts will fit, no matter who your partner is.

So, if you've gotten this far... here is what we will kick off with...

Create a pretty, embellished, FRONT and BACK cover for the journal; A5 size (or very slightly larger to allow for an edge around the pages) and punched with a STANDARD TWO-HOLE PUNCH (or at least holes should be made to this spec!). Insert two book rings (like ring binder clips) to hold them together. Cover some strong cardboard, use an old hardback book, use some chipboard or poster board as your base, to ensure that it is STRONG.

Put some time and effort into this, make sure that it is something that your partner will like and use :-) If you love it, then I am sure they will too! The trick is to not want to send it because you love it so much!

As this is a group swap, you are all here to enjoy them, so please ensure that you can fulfil the requirements when you join. No recent unexplained 1s or 3s please, I will check who is joining.

This is a first draft, so please let me know if you have any questions or comments and I can amend if necessary!
