Description:

Did you know that July 28th is National Water Park Day. Well yes it is.

National Water Park Day gives you the opportunity to .... you guessed it......go to the water park and have some fun.

Water parks are the centerpiece in many people’s summer vacation plans. They allow people to cool off on hot summer days and also provide families with a much-needed distraction. They provide fun, thrills, and laughs that few people can resist, and fortunately, just about every state in the U.S has at least one of these water parks for people to enjoy. Anyone who actually needs an excuse to pack up their family and head out to one of these watery centers of fun can do so by observing National Water Park Day. This is a holiday that falls on July 28th and encourages everyone to either visit a local water park or visit one of the large mega-water parks located around the world.

National Water Park Day was invented by Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. This organization opened up one of the largest indoor water parks in the U.S. At Wisconsin Dells in 2000, another one in Ohio in 2005, and then one at the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania in 2015. This holiday was invented in 2005 and has been observed ever since.

According to data collected by the NJ Dept. Of Community Affairs in 2014, water slides are more dangerous than roller coasters and people are almost twice as likely to get injured on them. Of the total of all injuries reported for both roller coasters and water rides, water rides accounted for approximately 40% of the injuries.

Many people consider Wisconsin Dells to be the water park capital of the world. That’s because they have a large indoor water park resort in the U.S called Kalahari Water Park, and they have another water park called Noah’s Ark. When Kalahari Resorts opened, it was the largest indoor water park in the U.S., but that’s no longer the case.

Although indoor water parks are very common nowadays, there was a point in time when they were pretty novel. The first indoor water park in the world was built in Edmonton, Canada in 1985. This water park is called World Water Park and it’s housed inside West Edmonton Mall. It’s a contender for being one of the biggest indoor water parks in the world. It covers an area of 225,000 square-feet.

National Water Park Day can be observed simply by visiting one of the many water parks around the U.S and around the world. Some of the best water parks in the world include Siam Park in Tenerife, Spain; Aquatica in Orlando, Florida; and Aquaventure Water Park in Dubai, UAE. Other parks include Tropical Islands in Krausnick, Germany; Beach Park in Fortaleza, Brazil; and Area 47 at Innsbruck, Austria. While you’re visiting one of these fine water parks on this holiday, be sure to use the hashtag #NationalWaterParkDay on your social media accounts to spread the word about your favorite ones.

Next onto our swap:

Post THREE (3) pictures and/or gifs to each of your THREE (3) partner’s profiles with the theme “National Water Park Day” or water park. The pictures that you choose may be the SAME OR DIFFERENT between all of your partners. Please choose pictures that you think THEY will enjoy!

Only people with well filled out profiles may participate in this swap. I will be checking the night before partners get assigned.

If you get 3 pictures from your partner on "National Water Park Day” or water park you have to rate them a 5. The heart on the rating is for if you like what they sent.

To leave a photo on someone's profile use this code ! [ ] ( Put image address here ) With NO spaces & paste the picture's link between the curved parentheses.

Practice on your own profile first to be sure it looks good because you can easily delete it there.

Pick images that are size 300 wide or smaller to be sure they fit. I go to Google images to get my pictures.

Hover over images to see their size because there will be some larger sizes there too. If you really like something click on it and go to the words SEARCH BY IMAGE and click on that. THEN go to the word SMALL and see if there is one 300 size. There are other tricks in the group thread; AN EASY way to get a small PIC from a BIG one;-)

You can find moving pictures at http://giphy.com/

Please write the TITLE OF THE SWAP ON YOUR PROFILE DECO MESSAGE too! This makes it easier for partners that are in a lot of these swaps to rate it.

Any problems, feel free to contact me.

I want to thank @anrtist for allowing me to borrow SOME of her wording.
