Description:

This postcard swap is for U.S. participants who love reading, books, writing, and adjacent subjects/activities.

Send your partner a book-themed store-bought postcard and write about anything you would like as long as it’s related to books, reading, writing, etc.

The theme of books can be loosely interpreted i.e. typewriters, pens, images of authors, quotations, bookstores, libraries, etc.

(Please don’t send anything that’s smelly, schmutzy, tattered, torn, etc.)

Some writing ideas: what books have you read this month? Did you love them or hate them? If you didn’t finish them, why not? Did you visit a bookstore, a library, an author reading? What kind of books do you like? Where do you like to read? Were you too busy to read? How many books do you usually read in a month or a year? Do you participate in any writing/reading challenges or a book group? What is a children’s book that you have a fond memory of? Was there a book assigned in school that you loved or hated? Has your taste in books changed over the years? Do you prefer traditional books, used books, hardbacks, first editions, ebooks, audiobooks? Do you write poetry, short stories, nonfiction?

Contact your partner if you have any questions about their preferences. Send me a message if you have any questions or helpful suggestions regarding the swap.

Happy swapping! πŸ’Œ
