Description:

For this swap you will record your life for 2 weeks. (Will give some time to get everything together. Can start recording your life when you sign up or wait. Please just make sure you record 2 weeks -- that should be 2 of each day of the week.

You will need a way to organize memories of the day (ie: folder, organizer, envelope, etc.) You can choose what works for you, but you need a way to label what things came from what day during the swap and may want to provide a brief explanation on some items.

You will also need a journal/notebook of some type. any size over 3inch x3inch is welcomed and this can be handmade or bought.

Set a budget of $5 or so at the begining of the week, that way you can share something with your partner like a fav. snack or sample of product, etc. I would like this to be a 3-D kind of swap - not JUST paper receipts and ticket stubs.

For this swap you will collect journal entries or notes, bits, baubles, empherma and whatnots from an average (or not so average) 2 weeks in your life. Then send to partner - who will be eagerly awaiting a glimpse into your world.

You will start Day 1 with your organizer in hand. As your day takes you where it will, collect the bits left behind as well as items that represent where you have been. Use your journal to record thoughts, insights or observations of the landscape and people around you. You may record your notes throughout the day or once in the evening, which ever is most comfortable for you. Each day will include notes or a journal entry in addition to what you have collected. Be creative.

Here are some ideas of things to collect:

Ticket stubs

Receipts

Advertisemtents or postcards from places you visited

A mixed CD of the music you listen to on your way to work each day

Notes from friends/kids/whoever, if you don't want to part with the original - make a copy.

The chocolate bar you enjoyed while waiting for the bus.. well not the actual chocolate bar of course! Purchase a duplicate so you have one for your partner.

A coaster or mini menu from where you have lunch everyday

Recipies

A brochure from the place you receive massage or bodywork, a small bottle of something from where you get your hair done. And how about a reveiw? "That massage was horrible, she had long nails and the talked the whole time!"

A small souvenier from the festival you visited over the weekend.

A journal entry about the argument you and your S.O. had, or your daughter or son or best friend...

Working on a craft include a sample

Photos of your surroundings, or a specific place.

Please remember: This swap is the grand tour of your life and how you live it, make it as interesting and detailed as you are!

Your week should not fit into just a letter sized envelope. Unless you are a shut in, but even then I think you could round up enough to make it interesting!

To me this is a high value swap, not because of monetary limits but because you should spend a good amount of effort and thought on this swap. Will not be able to angel. With that said, I WILL read profiles and ban anyone who seems flakey, or even just fishy. Must have completed at least 5 package type 3 swaps, with no recent no sends, or unexplained 1s or 3s.

When joining please know that people have different beliefs and are different tastes of life. Please appreciate the glimpse into who someone else is. I think people should not have to censor their glimpse into their life. Enjoy!!! Swap was originally done by Littlebluestar---Thank you for a great swap idea. too bad this is USA only, would love to get in on an international version, or perhaps you can open up to Canada?

ifluctuate will send pm.... I am sorry, I wish it could be international as well, I love receiving and sending to international swapers. I think you get to see things that you usually wouldn't, but postage may be pricey for this swap. I am very sorry.
