Part one of an Inspiration Series. I am calling this an Inspiration Series as this is a broader theme than most. A small twist is required too. Easy and fun. Read on.
Be inspired by music. Song lyrics, singers, bands, musicians, band names, music notes, instruments, concert posters etc. Please pay extra attention to your partners' profile, for dislikes only, because some of us are very sensitive to themes and images used by some extreme bands and even Christian or other religious lyrics or bands might offend. But if your partner with you in your tastes, Rock on!
Now the twist! Inside your box, as part of the filling, include a small note with a link to your favourite YouTube video, photo or lyrics that fits with the decor on your matchbox. Make sure your MB and link have a connection, don't just choose your favourite song unless it relates to your box. Please don't email the link; the whole point is to unwrap the box and go and check out the link. If the video is non-YT, check to make sure it is a file your partner can view on their computer. Please shorten video and picture URLs with Tiny URL.com or similar so they aren't tricky to type out.
Stickers, AS ACCENTS, should be limited to high quality scrapbooking or card making stickers, not the kind meant for kids or teacher’s reward stickers.
If you use rubber stamping, please stamp cleanly; missed areas or double lines are not acceptable. Please do not use computer generated images or sentiments because I have been very disappointed by images printed in very poor quality lately. (If you print them well using very good quality paper and ink, your partner won’t know and can’t rate you badly for it can they?? Wink wink!)
Please make a beautiful matchbox you are proud of and would be thrilled to receive. Make sure your work is clean and precise. No glue should show and straight cuts need to be straight.
Please don't be discouraged by my rules. I am only referring to general tidy practices, not tiny flaws. I've received a card so saturated with glue I could knock on it and get hollow noises! I've received a note book with edges that looked like they had been cut with a saw! I just expect tidy work!
Please check your partner’s profile for dislikes and avoid those. For instance, do not put bugs on mine because I hate bugs and that is on my profile.
Please fill the matchbox with things that are colour or theme appropriate. No need to pack it tight but fill nicely.
Please have a 4.95+ rating to join and no 1's EVER or 3's in the last 6 months. I will accept explanations of course, PM me ahead of the sign up deadline. Newbies are welcome with WELL FILLED out profiles (About Me, Likes, Dislikes at least) and MUST PM me at least 3 days before the end of the swap to show good intentions. A newbie is someone with less than 5 completed and rated type 2 or 3 swaps. If you see a flaker has joined, don't worry, I will weed them out. If you are really worried, give me a heads up! I’ve only been a member since March and been flaked on too many times, I've stopped keeping track, so I get it!
