Description:

So I did a variation of this swap in one my other groups but sadly I only got one other person to sign up. :(

Details

So what you do is get an empty water/gatorade bottle (try to find one with a little larger mouth), peel off wrapping (You may have to submerge the bottle in hot water to get it all off) and wash it out. Once it is dry this is where the fun starts!

You will have one (1) partner for this swap whom you will send one (1) message in a bottle to.

Things you MUST include inside your bottle:
1) A letter (of course!) that is atleast 2 pages long rolled up with a ribbon tied around it.

2) Two .44 cent stamps

3) One new gel/glitter pen

4) One sheet of stickers (Based off your partners profile)

5) Small candies 4-5. Pop Rocks, Jollyrachers, Starbursts, Gummies, ect.

By now your bottle should look a little full. Now comes the fun! Have fun stuffing your bottle (to the BRIM) with fun things like maybe some embellishments, address labels, more stickers, ribbon, postcard, ATC's.... The list of possiblities is ENDLESS but remember when you're putting them in the bottle to try to roll before folding. It's hard to get the items out folded (That's coming from experience)

This swap is senders choice so you can't be too picky when you receive your bottle however it must have the listed items above. ABSOLUTELY NO JUNK! No wrappers, crumpled paper or used items. If you send any of that you run the risk of getting a low rating.

Once your bottle is filled you may decorate the outside of it however keep in mind that the bottle is getting mailed AS IS. You WILL NOT being sending in a box or bubble envie. Print out or write your partner's addy on a piece of paper and tape it to the bottle. Be sure to write "TO" and "FROM" to prevent confusion. That's the fun of this swap! Others get to enjoy what you're sending! Be sure to tape the lid to prevent it from spilling or a curious mailman. :P

Rating Requirments

Anyone in the group can join! I will go an check through profiles before assigning partners. Any recent 1's or 3's must be explained, if they aren't then I will ban you from the swap.

Other "in a bottle" swaps I've seen recommend cutting a small flap into the side of the bottle to make putting things into it easier. Then it can be taped up later. Just a suggestion. =)

This looks so fun. Thanks for setting it up.

@tiggerkitn25 I've seen that recommendation before but I think its more fun to have to work at it (filling and emptying!) but if someone feels the need to I have no objection. Thanks for mentioning it since it gives more of an option :)

@iputfiresout no problem!

I have done one of these before and had so much fun! I cut a slit and stuffed my goodies inside and taped it shut later. That way I could fill it to the brim! Watching for now (repainting rooms in my house, getting ready for two child birthday parties AND trying to get swaps out too). Γ’β„’Β₯CAUTIONΓ’β„’Β₯ Some post offices refuse to mail these... I had to go to a smaller (rural) post office to get mine out.

I was @AngelKay s partner for the other swap she did...just got mine from her today and both sending and receiving were SO much fun! After trying to both fill and manuever stuff out of a 20 oz Powerade bottle though, I think I personally might cut a door. It would expand the options of what could be fit in there and I think allow it to be filled fuller. My post office is the major one in my area and they didn't blink when I mailed my bottle.
