I am a 20something working in the energy industry in Colorado. I moved back to my home state several years ago after a stint in Southern California. While I loved living there, the mountain air and distinct seasons called me home.
I listen to almost everything. In the mornings it is NPR or Colorado Public Radio. Depending on what I am working on during the day it can range from classical harp to Enya (new age-ish) to Celine Dion (easy/pop) to Shania Twain (pop/country) to Evanescence (goth/rock) to Rammstein (German rock). About the only thing I truly avoid is rap and traditional country.
I tend to read historical fiction, sci fi or instructional books, largely about different crafts (knitting, weaving, spinning, needlework, etc). Some of my favorite sci fi authors include Dave Duncan and Raymond Feist.
I am largely drawn to fiber. I tend to focus on weaving, spinning, knitting, quilting and needlework. I also do a little bit of beading, quilling (papercraft) and herbal work. Recently I have started doing soap making as well. I'd love to find the time to do some papermaking too!
I enjoy shows such as Fringe, Sanctuary, NCIS, Dollhouse, Heroes, Firefly and The Daily Show. Also most shows on PBS.
