Someone has pointed out that because I'm posting the sign-in info here an unscrupulous person could sign into the pod & mess with it. Well, they absolutely could. However...I believe that when people are entrusted to do the right thing, most of them will. If am wrong & someone messes with it, we all lose. So be it.

I am sensitive to a lot of smells, so I would rather not receive anything perfumey or smelling of cigarette smoke.

I'm a vegetarian, but I feed my dogs & cats a species appropriate diet of raw meat. My wife & I live on a farm with chickens, goats & horses.

I say I'm not a fan of earthtones, but it's really just brown & rust I don't like. I like bright saturated colors. I'm not big on pastels. My style is no real style. I take what I like & find a way to make it work together. I love to find new ways to use what I already have.

I don't believe in your god, gods or goddesses & don't need to be saved by you. Everything that happens to or for me is because I caused it or it is the luck of the draw. That's it & you won't change my mind. I won't try to change yours either but I will speak up if I think another viewpoint needs to be presented.

I have been swapping here since April 2007.

• Things I especially like - lately I've been fascinated by hands (both disembodied & skeletal), little found things in nature (bones, teeth, feathers), milagros, anthropomorphic anything, most birds, mammals, wings where you wouldn't expect them, old family photos (this is my one exception where children are OK), the unexpected in general, found objects, secret surprise inside, things with googly eyes, kitsch

• Themes I like - The Dark Side, Dia de los Muertos, Pin-ups, Bugs (other than arachnids, mixed bodies (human/bird, human/mammal, mammal/mammal, mammal/bug, human/bug, inanimate object/anything & many, many, more!), any kind of shrine, "fill in the blank" of Guadalupe, voodoo, zombie

• Things I'm not at all fond of - any overtly religious or god items (unless totally kitchy), cartoons, cutesy (except some Kawaii is OK!), Disney, kiddie stuff, children, dolls, beefcake, angels, kokopelli (all other petroglyphs are ok) & other typical western stuff like howling wolf designs, most sports, cars, boats, abstract art unless it is as a background for a very specific item, patriotic themes

• Things I think are creepy (in a bad way) - clowns, mimes, harlequins, crosses (the religious kind), babies in costume

• I'm only terrified of 1 thing - arachnids

I love to "re-purpose" things! My favorite thing is when I can remake something I don't like into something I love.

Mixed media works for me. Adding found things from nature is good - feathers, shedded snakeskin, little bones or teeth, insect wings. I love collage.

I like to collage. I love the idea of random artwork. I love making handmade books & I carve rubber stamps.

I really really really love to sew. It's one of my favorite things & I have my Mom's sewing machine, complete with cigarette burns on the cabinet! (Hers, not mine.)

I also quilt, knit, crochet, embroider, work with stained glass, tile mosaic, paint.

I am always interested in private swaps for handmade stuff. So interested I will set them up for months in advance...
