Comments to my photo albums and my blog are VERY MUCH APPRECIATED :-)

There are no spoilers, I only add photos after I know the recipient has got the item.

I was born in 1982 and I have been doing different sorts of crafts and needleworks and stuff pretty much ever since. I've never been too keen on following instructions and patterns with them, I prefer to take a little ideas from here and there and use my imagination and see what comes out of it. When you understand the basic rules you can do almost anything to cover the rest. And believe me, I've managed to create lots of useful stuff that actually works and looks good :-D

Writing letters was my hobby number one growing up. Sending and getting mail is one of the few things in my life that I could say I'm passionate about although I'm not actively writing letters anymore.

With these two things combined, what else could I do than swap?!

Currently I'm a student so I've learnt to get along with quite little money. I'm not brand-conscious and actually feel a little uneasy with expensive brands no matter how good quality they would be. I don't like to pay for the logo and the brand name instead of the product itself. I'd rather get lost at a huge bargain store for hours than take a two-minute-tour at a specialty store just to notice that it's all out of my price range. Of course I like my things clean and in good condition but it can be of not well-known brands, cheap stuff and even things that are meant for some other use, e.g. I'd buy a roll of gift wrapping paper rather than a single sheet of scrapbooking paper for the same price. If you want to impress me, don't send me something expensive but something cheap, clever and selected with some thought :-)

I don't have any phobias, migraine or severe allergies so I'm safe in that sense.

I knit woolly socks, mittens and hats, and occasionally crochet scarves, stuffies, odd little things and whatnot.

I make jewellery out of beads and silver-coated copper wire and materials like that.

Needle felting is nice too.

I have a love-hate relationship with my sewing machine. I make and fix clothes for myself occasionally. Mostly I sew (also by hand) small things like tote bags, stuffies and dotee dolls.

I discovered zentangles in June 2010 here on Swap-bot and they helped me to find the joy of drawing again :-)

• Animals: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, etc. Cats and felines in general are my favourites.
• Beads of any type and material (glass, metallic, stone, natural materials, plastic, wooden, you name it!) and size EXCEPT for the bulky ones that scream "suitable for children under 5 years". New or used ones are equally good. For example, I'd love to have more of these JB seed bead vials in any color:
• Any sort of other things that can be used in making jewellery.
• Yarns and anything to do with knitting or crocheting. Any material.
• Bright, bold and lively colors and patterns. Especially colors like red, purple, green.
• Earrings, necklaces (loooong ang big ones, min. 50cm/20" please!), bracelets (wrist girth 18cm/7", please no loosely hanging charms that tickle me and make a sound when they move), hair accessories, socks (EU 41/UK 7/US 9½), pretty much anything I can wear somehow. I prefer big and showy! Self-made or store-bought.
• Inexpensive things, outlets, not well-known brands, buy-3-get-1-free-stuff, 70%-off-priced things and anything cheap as long as it's not too bulky.
• Recycling and using materials that are left over from other projects.
• Cities and urban stuff.
• Modern things.
• Citroën Xsara Picasso, the lovely happy-looking roundish car :-D

Some edible stuff not available in my country that I've got in swaps before and liked very much:

• Bigelow's fruit flavoured teas. I had a couple of bags of Berri-Good herbal tea once and it was wonderful but I can't seem to find it in their selection anymore. I would like to try their other fruit flavoured teas (black, green, herbal, anything!).
• Stride chewing gum, I've had spearmint and sweet peppermint so far but I'd love to get any flavour.
• Butlers Dark Chocolate Jameson Whiskey Truffle Bar.

If you can think of any excuse to include any of these in your swap parcel I'd be REALLY happy!

I wish to keep this list much shorter than the liking list :-)

• Anything overly cutesy and babyish. I can deal with some kawaii but these all pastel colors, soft and cuddly, big teary eyes, coochie-coo stuff, blech!
• Cartoon merchandise. I mean that if I've seen the character on TV, in a game or in a comic book, I don't want it. Winnie the #/%#¤, Spongebob, Hello Kitty or even Angry Birds, although I like the game and am proud of my fellow Finn game developers, etc. Cartoony images not related to something like that are OK though.
• Angels, fairies.
• Teddybears! Any other stuffed animals or dolls are great but I'd rather not receive teddybears or anything with pictures of them. And I'm serious about this one!
• Skulls, zombies, robots, pirates, dinosaurs and the like, unless the swap is specificly about them.
• Rural and rusty stuff and anything that either is or is made to look old, dirty or worn out (includes most vintage styles and shabby chic, I guess).
• This thing with owls has gone too far. I'm a bit sick of these cutesy owls.
• Paper craft supplies.
• Embroidery floss.

For tea I prefer any kind (black, green, white, infusion etc) that is flavored with something, just plain tea is a bit boring. For sweets I am eager to try ANYTHING!

Please note that I mark the value usually as 2 or 3 euros on the customs stickers so none of us would need to pay extra charges or the envie wouldn't attract thieves. It has nothing to do with the actual value of the contents!
