Hi! I'm Bonnie, your hostess for Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment #2..angeling for one of your partners. I'm so glad you joined my swap!! Even though you were born the year I graduated from high school...(eeekkkkk!!), I think we have a lot in common! I have a daughter, too, but she is 16 going on 25 (hug that special baby of your as much as you can while she will let you....HA!!) I sew, too, but I only make quilts...and I love to incorporate embroidery in my quilts...I find all of this to be very relaxing. I also love Barry Manilow...the Beatles....and New Kids!! My family gave me an I-Pod two Christmas' ago and I love it too! It's so freeing ;^). Don't you just love Cake Boss marathons?? One after the other ;^).....would LOVE to go to that bakery someday...hehe!! Take care my friend!!

Hi! You should try watching this video to learn a French knot - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul8XT72oA68. I couldn't understand how to make one just by reading about it, but when I saw this it seemed to just fall together and now I can do one almost every time, easily.
I used to not really like Martha Stewart, I don't know, maybe I thought she was too crazy or overwhelming or something? But now I've fully embraced her, and love being compared to her. I've been drooling over all of her Halloween decorations lately! That lady is amazing.
And you totally have to continue watching True Blood. I went through the first 3 seasons pretty quickly, and now I'm desperately waiting for the last episode in the 3rd season. I am impressed with your profile, I love all of the little icons you have! Usually I don't really like profiles with a lot of pics, but I think yours are good because they're so tiny and cute. :)

Hi again Amanda!

Wanted to follow up - we do have more in common! I am attempting to learn knitting to no avail. I bought a couple of books on knitting/crocheting, and someone sent me some awesome handmade, home-grown alpaca yarn. So luxurious feeling!

I am married to a retired Navy man (oh, this is funny, he's years older, so everything thinks he robbed the cradle but got a good deal - I'm the one who thinks I have the best deal!).

Ben Folds has some great music! You reminded me to listen more to some of his stuff! How about Jason Mraz? Love his easy style.

Have you ever done crazy quilting? I'm tryin' that and it is a lot of fun - although don't do like I did and use stretchy velvet (not the original cotton)!

Hope your evening is well, and that you are, too.

Hugs,

Janíce

Greetings Amanda!

How do you do? I'm pretty psyched to hear that you're in Japan. How is it there? What is it like, compared to the atmosphere at home for you? What was it like in the Navy for you? (Curiosity gets to me when it comes to stuff like the Navy, Military and Airforce)

Don't worry about the dish cloths and scarves. I've been knitting since I was a kid and so far, I still stick to squares and rectangles. It's somewhat difficult to be creative with those shapes so I mix it up by learning new patterns to try out. Hahaha... I'm hesitantly figuring out crocheting. It's harder than I thought but I figure it's simply a learning curve. Do you crochet? Oh yes- have you tried making a coffee cup sleeve? That can be something new. ^_^

Ah - the sweetness of 4-year-olds. One of my friends (a karate black belt at my dojo actually) has a daughter who recently turned 4 and she's a precocious little performer. She jumps around and loves to put on dances or funny gymnastic shows on for guests.... but it's mostly for mommy and daddy. Hehehee... She always waits for applause and tells you "Clap," if you've missed your cue. What does your daughter like to do?

NINTENDO RULES! =D I felt they could've stopped all the fancy production what-have-you at Super Nintendo. It became annoyingly complicated after that. Well, it's either that or I didn't feel like learning it. Blah.

I know someone who is deathly afraid of clowns because they watched the movie IT as a teenager. Is that what happened to you? She also didn't like windchimes because she watched an Asian horror flick where the murderer always arrived when the wind chimes rang.

I personally don't mind clowns but I can see why some may dislike them. The paint can be a bit of a surrealism portrait, oui? =)

Anyway, I hope you have a beautiful day and lots of love to you & your family.

Sincerely, Dee

My mood always changes, and so should my music :) I think it's funny...my daughter just turned 6, a Total girly girl, and now she is asking for only boy toys...Sound familiar, lol.
