Hello! My name is Eliza and I just relocated from Central Virginia to Northern California. It was an easy move, but I don't have any friends here yet :(

My boyfriend and I went to the gym and on the way I forced him to go into a store called Daiso Japan. If you don't know what that is, its a very inexpensive and very cute Kawaii store that hasn't yet made its way to the east coast. Inside there was just about EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine, from obnoxiously cute Kawaii stationary to shower mats and ceramic rice bowls. I pretty much Squee'd over the stationary and the presence of it jumpstarted that remote dormant part of my brain that not only loves obnoxious cute asian things, but also letter writing.

I've started to feel recently very over-saturated with instant technology, and with living in Silicon Valley, that's practically sinful. I'm not by any means a granola hipster who is anti-tech, but rather someone who enjoys the occasional break and likes to go outside and go for a walk or read a book rather then surf the web. I even once declared that I was boed of the internet (much like 30 Seconds to Mar's lead singer Jared Leto).

To complete the thought process started above, my point is that I have a burning desire to start penning letters. Previously on swap-bot, I swapped heavily in ATCs. I love ATCs, but I don't think I have the time to truly dedicate to these mini art projects, as I'm starting a new job out here. But letter writing is something that I DO have time for, and want to do with a great passion. I welcome working of them while building correspondences with like-minded people internationally. I also enjoy taking photos, and sending little surprises with letters!

I recognize that my last two swaps previously were unfulfilled (and rightly marked as a "1"). That won't happen again. I've taken strides to rectify the lower ratings.
