I'm a student living in Grand Rapids, but from Noblesville, Indiana. I'm majoring in social work and minoring in sociology, wishing that I could study everything and STILL graduate sometime this decade. When I'm not attending school, I work at a local-produce stand in Indiana and dream about the potential of someday working in one of the many coffeehouse that seem to surround me in Grand Rapids. I'm a new swapper--and probably addicted. I put off my school work by creating lovely things for my friends and fellow swappers.
I send all swaps, and (for the most part)on time (if not, I'll let you know). I only ask that you do the same for me! If for some reason you don't receive something from me, send me a message and I'll re-send the swap.
Although an avid traveler by way of the Fodor's in my local library, I'd love to actually get out and go somewhere. I enjoy elephants for their stature. LOVE *anything produced by Lomography or Polaroid. *POM-based beverages and lists. *thrift stores for their buttons, necklaces, handbags and old books *trees, elbow patches and vegetarian foods *coffee in all forms and earth tones *papermate sharpwriter pencils and staedtler felt-tip pens *Luna music on Mass ave. in Indianapolis *ballet flats and live music *found magazine and asofterworld.com *sweatshirts and my hungarian heritage *bike riding and my lovely dreadlocks *simple line graphics and politics for dummies *alternative worship and spirituality and short, dark purple finger nails *gerber daisies and TREES.
Nothing goes first because these aren't in order, but everyone always assumes they are, cat power, loney dear, belle & sebastian, bob dylan, supertramp, elton john, electrelane, jaymay, jose gonzalez, josh ritter, the faint, DeVotchKa, beirut, animal collective, Efterklang, BBKing, White Flight, kimya dawson, blonde redhead,
Newest additions to my bookshelf (a pretty accurate picture of what I like to read) Crooked Little Heart// Love in the time of Cholera// Ghost World (The graphic novel)// Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs// The Bell Jar// Through Painted Deserts// Nickel and Dimed (yeah. sociology.)
High Fidelity, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, 12 Angry Men, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fight Club, THe Darjeeling Limited, Paris Je T'aime, Little Children, Half Nelson, (ga!)Mirrormask, Wordplay (nerd alert).
Knitting (mostly toys and celebrity dolls--although i do enjoy the occasional pair of slippers or sweater as well), paper arts with an extreme love for found objects like library check-out cards and luggage tags. Photography is fun, I'm not a pro, but I feel like I'm surrounded by so many unique and interesting things that translate well to film, and if you've got a great camera, anything will look fantastic with the right construction. Line drawings and simple graphics are pretty darn sweet too.
polaroid pictures or found pictures of any kind *Alphabet stickers *Owls (cliche, i know...) and Puffins, *scrabble pieces/dominoes/parts or pieces of board/card games of any form. *rub-transfer letters *sean connery's face on a pillowcase (swoon*) *get me started with some kawaii! I'm a beginner! *address labels *felties, or felt scraps/pieces in general *magazines from anywhere other than the U.S. *books on CD :)
Christian inspirational doodads (not because I don't believe it, just because I've probably heard/seen it all before) and stuff having to do with babies, kittens or puppies-you get the picture. I'm not really a huge fan.

A shout out to crafting social workers!! How's the learning process coming in your neck of the woods? You sound so inspiring, while I am just aching to be done! Do you have a placement?

Thanks! I love Fionn Regan and don't know many other (any?) people that know of him. BTW, you have the best films on your profile . . . . ever. :)
Jon Stewart or Steven Colbert? This is the question of our generation.
