I am returning after an extremely long absence, as I find myself finally able to participate in things again. I think it's been at least 2 years since I was last able to participate here, but now I've returned, I'm going to start with some easy swaps to get back into the swing of things.

Hi! I'm Hannah, I'm 29 and British ^^

I obviously live in England - pretty much in the middle of nowhere, in the southern west country (yupp, I do sound like a farm girl when I get all Country on people!)

I own two cats, Moogle and Twisp; our third cat, Spork, was recently killed on the near-by road. Still getting over that. Moogle and Twisp are our babies for now.

I'm a Self Employed Freelance Illustrator/Artist - I work in both traditional and digital media. I work from home in a pokey little office, crammed full of books and art equipment - you can barely see my window for the stuff piled on the sill, though when you catch the view, it's quite lovely.

I work primarily in the humanoid form, and enjoy creating both Fantasy and Sci-Fi art, as well as portraits, graphic novels and illustrations. I am working with a writer on a self-publishing graphic novel, set ostensibly in a Steam-Punk version of Japan.

I'm into Japanese culture and language, Graphic Novels - both western and Japanese, religious iconography, mythical creatures - especially merfolk, cats, outlandish fashion design and the written word.

I took Japanese Language in college, while doing my Fine Art Foundation course. Unfortunately it was so long ago that I barely remember a word of it. I plan to re-take it in the near future. As it is, I love the written Japanese laguage and practice it at every chance I get.

I have a Bachellors Degree in Illustration, with Graphic Communication and a touch of Fine Art. I plan to go back to University as a Post Grad to take Fine Art Painting and Photography.

I own a digital camera and enjoy myself playing with it - mostly I photograph my cats (which I swear isn't as sad as it sounds!)

I love to read - it's one of my passions - I think I've read every book in our house at least twice, and I keep buying new ones!

I also write - I am in the process of working on my own novel (a trilogy, rather) that I hope desperately to publish in a few years. Of course, I'm also illustrating it myself!

My Political leanings are somewhat mixed - I have a deep hatred of Labour at the moment, I think the Lib-Dems are far too soft and I'm not over-all happy with the Tories either.

I am not in the slightest bit religious and have discussed various religions with their various proponents. But I do like religious iconography and myths - they lend towards great art.

I'm LGBT*QIA+ friendly.

CUPCAKES. I'm obsessed.

Turns out I've gone girly in recent years - which has amused everyone who knows me, because I was a TomBoy for most of my growing-years.

So, I find I like pinks and flowers, leaves and nature. I like cats and dogs, and snakes and lizards.

I like wierd fashion and fantastic hair styles, SteamPunk and GothicLolita. I love cats and dogs, and apes and lemurs.

I love green and purple (sometimes together!) and blue and brown (definitely together!)

I like Neo-Classical and Pre-Raphealite, Photo-realistic and Impressionistic.

I love angels and mermaids, unicorns and pegasi, dragons and wyverns. I like fairies and harpys, witches and wizards. Werewolves, vampires and demons.

I like glittery things and jeweled things, fluffy things and feathered. Butterfly wings and dragonfly wings.

I also adore chocolate. Which is a given. Coconut and cinamon flavoured cakes/pastries, banana milkshake (and banana loaf!) Hot chocholate and Tea. I love fresh cherries.

Chewy/gummy sweets - especially cherry flavoured. Proper lolly-pops! The ones that look like coloured ice XD

There's not much I dislike, but I'll give it a go.

I hate spiders and insects, creepy crawlies of any kind.

I dislike blood and gore and in fact cannot stand the sight of even a clean and healthy wrist. (Strange phobia, don't ask!)

I dislike most contemporary modern art - especially Hirst and Emin. Pickled animals and messy beds, simply aren't my idea of art.

I'm not big on cute for cutes sake and tend to dislike most childrens cartoons. I can't stand SpongeBob for instance.

Chocolate has to be pure, no dried fruit! I hate dried fruit - on its own or in anything - euwy. However, nuts in chocolate isn't too bad.

I'm alergic to both mango's and watermelons. Citrus things make me itchy, also.

I know Harry Potter back to front and upside down (I'm very nearly a Walking HP Lexicon, seriously) I guess you could call me obsessed XD My favorite character is Severus Snape, closely followed by Draco Malfoy and then Harry Potter.

Pride And Prejudice:

I also know Pride And Prejudice far too well for my family's sanity! I can talk along to every part of the 'Colin Firth' BBC TV series XD and I frequently do!

Naruto:

Up to a certain point in the manga series, I know the thing back to front XD My favorite characters are Naruto, Shikamaru, Kakashi, Sakura, Lee, Gaara and Gai.

Christmas:

I love everything to do with the Christmas season! The colours, the playfullness, the presents, the decorations, the music, EVERYTHING. I'm already buying presents and making things and writing out card lists and planning and plotting XD

Cupcakes:

I am obsessed with anything and everything cupcake. Cupcake prints, cupcake beads, cupcake drawings, actual cupcakes, all things cupcake, basically.
