As a believer, we stand holy and blameless. This doesn’t mean we are perfect – most of us have a long way to go – but we ought to be striving to be more Christ-like. A New Year's resolution to "reform" behavior is not the answer. What is needed is TRANSFORMATION. Paul writes in Romans 12:2 to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God." One of my favorite passages of scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and rely not on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths. Let the Holy Spirit, that lives in you, guide your thoughts and decisions and actions.
