I live in a rural area in upstate NY. It's on one of the Finger Lakes and is a beautiful place. I'm married and have three children 31,21 and 20 and two grand children 2 and six months old. I teach middle school students and have worked with that age group for a long time. I teach math English, social studies,and art One thing about being a teacher is you are never bored. .

I like country. Irish, soft rock, 50's . My favorites are Mary Chapin Carpenter, Trisha Yearwood, Celtic Woman, Sugarland,James Blunt.Meliss Etheridge, Patsy Cline. Josh Groban, Josh Gracin, Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills Nash and Young.

I read a lot and often trade with my mom who reads a book almost every day. I enjoy Nora Roberts, Danielle Steele, Fannie Flagg,Ben Mikaelson, Nicholas Sparks and Sark. I also read a lot of young adult books so I can offer suggestions to my students. I like fiction that has a happier twist to it. I don't like nonfiction books that deal with death or abuse.I like books about crafts, gardening,local stories,decorating and folk tales. I also look for young adult books.

I'm not a big movie watcher but when I do go I like to be entertained rather than scared. I liked Sex in the City, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, Phantom of the Opera.

My favorite tv show is the Antique Road Show. I love seeing the objects and what if anything they are worth. I also like the home and garden show that shows people buying houses or fixing them up. I like the reruns of Sex in the cIty, Seinfeld, How I met your mother.The Big bang

Right now I am into altered books which is a very bad craft for people who are already savers. You think you might be able to use anything. I like scrap booking,soap making, jewelry making orgami, rubber stamping. polymer clay,(fimo,sculpey)crocheting, card making. I like the idea of quilting even though I haven't made one yet.

I enjoy coffee and teas. I love chocolate and dark, milk, mixed with peant nut butter or nuts all work for me. I like scented soaps and lotions. I like most kinds of candy.Some other things I like are gardening,vintage linens, gnomes, cards, yarn, jewelry, stickers. pens, old photos from the fifties and earlier, folk art, handmade things, postcards, calligraphy pens,costume jewelry or unusual jewelry,pottery. My favorite colors are red, yellow, purple, blue. I like soccer and baseball. I like the spring, summer and fall but am not so keen about winter in upstate NY. I don't like skulls, goth stuff. porn.
