About Me

My name is Kaye. I live in Southern California I am a licensed & certified massage therapist.

photo: altered wind-up toy sent to Ikyoto

I enjoy holidays New Years through Christmas.

Crafting Relaxes me

  • I quilt

  • sew

  • embroider

And I would like to learn to felt wool, needle punch, spin, make tip-ins and chunky book art.

Sewing Supplies: can always use

  • 45mm rotary blades for both my rotary cutters.

  • Timtex

  • Peltex-double sided fusible

  • Pelmet Vilene-would like to try this

  • Heatbond light or heavy-for my Fabric PC's & ATC's

  • Colorful sewing thread

  • Fabric- fun, exciting FQ's vivid colors interesting motifs, focus fabrics.

Lavender is my favorite color but all colors fabric stash wise are nice

NO AVON PRODUCTS PLEASE

Like little CERAMIC Thimbles. Just starting to collect them.

I like and can use any/all Handcrafted soaps & toiletries, whether bought or handmade. I make, trade and use handmade soaps from scratch. Some ingredients used in my batches are olive, coconut, macadamia nut, brazil nut, hemp seed oils. I also make more decadent soaps with butters like shea, mango, cocoa and others. Essential oil soaps are my favorites. If you make handmade toiletries and want to trade. I'm game.

I drink tea and coffee daily. Flavored coffees are my favorite. Flavored teas can be nice but I am picky on them. Basically if you can buy them in the grocery, so can I and therefore most likely will have them in my overflowing tea caddy already. Jasmine is also nice. I'm a fan of loose teas. I have my own tea papers so loose teas properly wrapped are welcome.

I ABHOR LICORICE really dislike it,okay? Lemon, orange spice, plain green teas, cinnamon, Not so much on the like side for me. I like anti-oxidant type teas. Blueberry Pomegranate is a for instance.

My clothing size medium to large depending on manufacturer or sizes in the 8-10 range. I Love Pajama's and comfy house shoes

MUSIC

Can always use great massage music for work/personal such as

  • Deva Premal

  • Enya

  • Nature sounds

  • Forest Rain-same deal here

  • Diana Krall

  • Oscar Peterson

  • Duke Ellington

  • Ella Fitzgerald

  • James Taylor

  • Old Steely Dan

  • Boston

  • Kansas

  • LOVE Pink Floyd

  • Sunday in the Park with George

  • Barnum

  • Nunsense

  • Showboat

  • The Secret Garden

Audio books tape/cd

Some of my favorite books

  • John Sanford

  • Sue Grafton's Alphabet series

  • James Doss- Charlie Moon series

  • Tony Hillerman's Jim Chee series

  • David & Amy Sedaris-not mystery-just fun

My friend and author Earlene Fowler writes the Benni Harper series. I Love all her books.

Love Robert B Parker's Spencer series

    Elaine Viets: Dead-end job mysteries

I like reading or actually listening to books on tape/cd of:

  • Gary Zukoff

  • Wayne Dyer

  • James Redfield

  • Tom Bodett

  • Caroline Myss

  • The Secret- would love anything to do with The Secret.

I HAVE ONE INDOOR ONLY CAT Sir Bingo is his name O

Sir Bingo likes: * catnip toys

  • quiet balls to bat around the house

My life as a LCMT has turned me into a people watcher. We humans are amazing creatures to watch in action. I can tell where a person carries the most stress and tension in their bodies, just from watching them walk and interact.

The Last Thing

I have lots of things listed here on my profile ONLY TO HELP YOU. A $5.00 gc to a store of your preference is a good thing in my book. On my end I'd rather see that I can include a small gc in a swap that I send.

I enjoy sending out forum RAKs and swaps. I like to swap with swappers who are of the same mind as myself. Thanks!

Fantastic!! I was worried it wasn't going to get to you! It's pretty much the most East Coast Canadian flavour I could find. I'm back on the Island now, so I should be able to find more interesting flavours! xoxo j
